yup. beat Lucifer on hard on the Chronicles version. as soon as you do enough damage of 40,000 hp he will heal using dirahan. then you gotta do 60,000 damage to his health. In total you need to do 100,000 damage. it was a pain.
Everything about this battle is so scary, the music and power that Demi fiend conveys will always have me excited, whether he's apart of the story, or a superboss. ALSO, THAT DAMN FREIKUGEL ANIMATION, ITS SO GODLIKE, showing everyone who did it first,,, hopefully buff can succeed at beating him on hard, as well
One thing I've noticed is that ever since Persona 5, Atlus really step up their animations in quality and quantity. And in this specific title, lightning effect also got a lot of improvement and sets the moods perfectly. I mean, it still the very same company that made hilariously broken Demi-Fiend sliding punch, and that chad in question right here feels *COMPLETELY* different from Nocturne. He's brimming with power, authority, and demands respect when facing him. All that thanks to a little attention to details in animations. Man, Atlus has come far...
@@Tdull-tv1ds The thing is, this fight on every diffuclity poses some kind of challenge. I managed to beat this fight on casual but damn that was still hard as hell. Normal difficulty was too tough and I got close. Even Saftey is a bit challenging, but if you know what you're doing, its pretty easy. Just as long as he doesn't pull out Gaea then you're fine
Wow, this battle feels a little hopeless. He effectively has 90,000 hp or more if he uses mediarahan at lower hp thresholds. This reminds me of the Freya ultimate boss from Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. In the game, there is a gauge that improves the character's attack speed and power, but it cuts their defense in half. I've seen lots of videos, along with struggling myself, of people dying to this boss. I decided to turn that gauge off, cutting my attack speed; however, my team was a lot sturdier, and the battle was a lot easier afterwards. What I'm getting at is maybe the defend option is worth exploiting, especially since the magatsuhi gauge can increase after guarding, right? Though the expel/death resistance is probably a must-have to not die to the chaotic attack. I dunno, it looks hopeless, but I thought the same as the Freya fight. Still, the hyper-offense looks to be working really well, it's too bad the demons keep coming back.
It reminds me of the Demi-Fiend fight in Digital Devil Saga. Tough as steel and requiring a vast knowledge of the fight, game mechanics, a bit of luck, and a shit ton of specific planning and preparation. When this fight first came out, people could only beat it on Safety mode. Now, we as a community are getting closer and closer to that Hard mode kill! We've got this bois!
We need DPS check to kill demons. Not only this will waste demi fiend's turn to call new demons, he will Gaea Rage if you're not kill at least one demon for around 5 turns... Basically we need to lower his chance to cast Chaotic Will..
@@veeshadow I agree. I think a more focused approach on the demons help. When he busted out Zeus with the 4000 damage crit, I was surprised he wasn't out sooner since it looks like Cu Culain and Girimakala have around 12,000 - 16,000 hp (maybe one can be ko'd in 6 press turns if magatsuhi crit is active?); however, there's always more to consider like debilitate and all that, and buff knows what he is doing for sure, I trust his process. This is for sure one of those things where we all gotta figure it out together haha, so I'll take that L on the defend option.
You cant compare Tri Ace game to Atlus game design . Atlus Superboss alway badly design when Tri Ace is know for hard but fair super boss design if you understand their game mechanic . Atlus boss alway has big RNG factor and take away most of the game mechanic in the game .
I thought that he was going to be easy as the Persona protags in P5R so Atlus would get a cheap cashgrab but i was mistaken It's practically a week and people still can't beat him in hard and barely in normal without getting his essence in safety
Buffmeister is on the right track though. We need to force demi fiend waste his turn by : - Null/Repel physical. His AI will always try to physical attack newest Demon switched in. - Use Call allies, so kill his demons at correct amount of turns. - Hardest one and very luck based is put him on Sleep and not wake him to waste his turn (probably not worth to try on Hard Mode) Waiting if there are more ways to make demi fiend not using Chaotic Will and Gaea Rage basically.. The thing is DDS1 won't give a game over until every character dies and while there is DPS check it's still more lenient for 30 turns w/o Dekunda/Dekaja instead 5 turns counting Dekunda/Dekaja (that allow Pixie to run out of MP) so anyone said DDS1 is harder can go cry...
@@scottbellotti9530 There should be pattern to break the rules. Say if you kill his demons this will force him to summon new demon so do not switch your demon when this happens. You cannot trigger him to attack null physical demons and call allies at same turn.. There should be a priority AI there, including what makes him cast Freikugel, Chaotic Will, and Gaea Rage...
DDS1 fight seems much harder... The 5 vs 30 turns to kill the side demons is irrelevant, it's a completely different game and fight. DDS1 Demi-Fiend and his demons have zero weaknesses too, you can't gain any more turns or get rid of any of his side's at all...
Almost just as bad as mysterious figure on Kingdom Hearts: Birth by sleep, all versions of the games. Nearly impossible to defeat by playing "Normally."
13:09 I'd turn off the game right after that. That's the same insult as "All that for a drop of blood?" I'm not even playing and that freaking hurts my soul.
I was hoping to see other Messiahs as superbosses respectively tbh Like Flynn, albeit he's not the strongest attackers; summoning Napea, Minotaur, Mastema for his party, supporting them with heals and Antichthon
I notice that unlike in DDS, Gaea Rage is a Physical attack here. So why not just run a bunch of demons that repel/drain phys like the cheese strat to shut off his BS all-enemies insta-kill move?
Gaea Rage has pierce in smt v. So you need to make sure his AI never goes for it, or else you're fucked without a dodge. Rotating your demons will make him try to deadly fury the new demon. Killing his demons will cause him to use call allies. Things like that. And of course after you bring him down to a certain threshold he'll mediarahan so you have to start over. Since he's so tanky that you can't one shot him, you need to be really fucking good with mp management.
@@HunterStiles651 I genuinely have no idea mate your best bet would be to set up a build with charge and see if it has any effect by attack once without charge and again with charge if no then try concentrate as that's the same as charge but for magic
My favorite boss fight of the year... Hard, First Playthru, it gave me the frustration for a boss fight i missed.... not many video games, make it worth, grinding for, to beat a boss anymore. What i like about this fight is, all comes down to Skill, Preparation, and Luck. Too bad once you beat him, everyone else is super super easy mode.
Resummoning demons without Reviving that is not fair, at least with the old shin Megami tensei most of the time with the game they actually follow the rules and actually have to obey the rules of the game. I mean seriously it is frustrating what I have seen is they still kept that Revival magic only revived them in the stock not instantly back in battle, honestly nothing beats Digital Devil Saga Revival Magic because No One automatically goes back to the stock for dying and the Spells actually useful in battle.
