Matador is amazing in this game. His passive means he can instantly kill things he hits a weakness for or crits. It’s a viable strategy to Crit Aura + Andalucia a LOT of demons. This works against regular encounters, magatsuhi enemies, and even abscess bosses. The only enemies I’ve notice it not work against is main story bosses or sidequest bosses.
I was a bit apprehensive at fusing Matador at first but wowzer his passive skill came in clutch multiple times in encounters with Magatsuhi super-charged demons that spams Eternal Prayer.
@@quesocoatl21 Sudama as 1 demon with null wind or essence from Sudama to null wind on Nahobino-then you can use anything else what not have weakness to wind, Oni, any support demon like high pixie (for magatshuhi fairys game). The point of fight is have resistance to wind and at least mediocre vitality /luck to not be one shoted by crits.
red capote with +4 evasion Mazan for coverage basic attack has Andalucia that can random multi hit if it crits and had no weakness during in nocturne - Reaplly's red capote if you used dekaja
Ngl I actually lose to him quite a few time at first since Im so used to the Nocturne strategy of casting Sukukaja to match his Red Capote; this battle almost work the opposite as I still can't hit him even after two Sukukajas, and thus it eventually came to me that you'd need to debuff him with Sukunda instead. Its kind of embrassing on my part tbh.
The thing is, you dont. You'd notice the quest wasnt marked as complete after defeating him, and thats because this quest is series of fiend encounters that will eventually lead you to the Demi-Fiend to which you'll claim the money after beating him.
No, you can challenge them even on normal. I never played the easier difficulty so I assume you can still challenge everything. To start the quest just get to the diet building and go to the world of shadows, Sophia will give you a menorah which lets you challenge the Fiends at their portals.
Every time you lose to this guy and get frustrated just proves two things: one is that you like this boss and want to get him for fusion that badly, and two, that what happened in SMT III Nocturne inspired this battle to be more difficult than it has ever been.
I like how you have to debuff him now at least you have to if you playing hard mode witch i am playing or you risk missing your hits on him they improve this fight from the base game
