Completely forgot to censor a spoiler at 6:14 so don't look at the right of the screen at that part if you have not reached the 4th area of the game yet. Forgot a specific demon was in my party there.
I've been thinking of picking up this game, so a guide like this is going to be a huge boon for when I get around to it. Especially since Idun's design is top-tier.
Been going through this game blind, and I feel like I have a good grasp on its mechanics. But I got so excited when I saw you started playing it I had to drop in and watch a video! I'm excited to dive in and hear all your thoughts and ideas once I start NG+.
Lol “knew everything in this and more.” But you took the time to grace the content creator with one of your views. You are a true gentleman and scholar, everyone should be more like you. Including me
I wanna add some tips I discovered during fusion. If you do not like the bonus stat distribution, you can just leave the World Of shadows then re-enter it. the stat distribution will change. E.G. Idun prior fusing has total of, say, 77 MAG. if you think you reached the max distribution (by looking on bracketed added values), there, proceed to fuse. Using this trick will save you MAG or STR incenses since there are very rare compare to VIT,AGI,LUCK incense. My NG+ demon has 143 MAG prior fusing but doing this trick lead me to have 146 MAG. I decided that this values are high enough for and do not want to re-roll RNG distribution. I hope it helps.
I don’t know if this content is as high as your regular Xeno content, but it’s refreshing and fun to watch. Also, it’s hilarious how broken you made Idun
I just recently picked up this game a couple weeks ago, color me surprised when I see my favorite Xenoblade guide maker made a fusion guide for this game! Did not think the miracle that allows fused demons to inherit stat bonuses from the component demons would be that strong, definitely gonna grab that soon as I get enough glory! Thank you Enel!
It's interesting to see you have 1 or 2 actual skills then the rest are passive buffs, maybe I should stray away from trying to get total coverage on all demons with lots of attacks that are actually pretty similar
Yeah i think having too many attacks is taking away from overall potential myself. The passive buffs usually end up doing more in the long run IMO. Better to have a specific focus since there are pierce attacks in this game.
Having coverage is very helpful early game, let's you hit weaknesses and gain press turns. As you reach mid to late game you should start focusing on what you what to be, just about every smt game I've played I end up with a physical build and for that you're gonna wanna also maximize your crit potential and see if there's any strong multi hit str move you can learn, not only will it net you more chances to crit but depending on how it scales you might do more than a single hit stronger attack. Oh yeah pierce can't forget that if it's a passive you want it pronto. I only just beat lahmu so I'm not 100% sure how my build will turn out but I'm heading down the physical path once again and am starting to ditch the agi, bufu, etc spells. I would say something about magic builds but I don't know anything bout them, probably need like a wizard or something.
Basically a demon's versatility should go down the larger your demon stock gets. Who needs complete coverage on one demon when you can just switch to a demon who matches the current job much better?
Yea , same goes with Nahobino, most end game builds I see only have Murakomo, they dont even carry another attack, I actually did this myself, sense you wont have room to stack physical and almighty pleromas , its better to just go all in on one thing.
yea, the right fusion makes all the differences, that's why I do saves before fusion and do a peak fusion and reset if I don't like the demons that opens up.
Ok, this guide just solidified some things for me. I want to get through the other 2 endings reborn, then do secret newborn, but I wanted I have compendium filled so as I get money in last play I would summon as I could. This will help me build the super demons I want 😈
I have an idea for a video, rank all 214 demons from best to worst….. jk, really enjoying the smt videos, it’s cool to see you dip into a series that I absolutely love.
1:10 the level up stats are properly accounted for, but the chunk of levels you get while fusing seem to skip the rolls for items, essence, and random skills which can make it prohibitively difficult to get certain essences
Same. Waited until a Full Moon to fuse Mermaid and ended up with Take Minakata. AOE lightning wrecked the enemies in the general area. Got Mermaid after that for her Ice skill. Both were weak to fire, but the boss never used Fire Breath.
Ever since I I've figured this out I've been down fussing all my high level demons like a mad man to get high quality fusion components. It's cost me a lot of macca but I made Odin and vasuki look like a joke on normal mode without even hitting their weaknesses except having idun use gems.
Still using Mermaid and Idun along with Sabele (not sure the name, it's the purple lady with the horns) at level 80 right now. I haven't used this method of combining into a previous tier though. I have about 300K right now to spend so I can probably soup up my team a decent amount.
I only saw this video now after getting a few endings, but can this become a loop like Persona 5 Strikers? Keep fusing Idun down to Parvati and remaking her (applicable for all demons, potentially)?
Woah so they work just like In Persona 5 strikers and its more reliable here than in Strikers so i can just chain lower level demons and branch off from there to fuse various other things with the million stat and exp bonuses this is insane. thanks Enel
having a lot of fun with the game atm. I feel like I'm playing bravely default 2's endgame with how many broken strategies I can pull off fairly easily.
could you share how you fusion looped yoshitsune? i tried to replicate something like what you showed near the end with him, but i'm not sure if i had the wrong idea or you just used a lot of incenses on him
do a different MC build for early game, mid game, late game :D or maybe different demon team build, the different build for each demon for each roles. E.g. I tend to have one demon for crit, one demon to do debuff/buffs and one for magic coverage.
How much do i need to lvl up the element demon or the demon u get from fusing demon(demon u want to optimize/raise) with element before reverse fusion back to the demon u want to raise?
It seems like a good strategy is to build around useful unique abilities. I like when I find a cool new one. Also, how do you get an essence for a demon if you already used it?
Adding to what Enel said, you can get essences from fight-able demons with deathly aura III. I'd advise using a demon to get it's hp low and then pass turn. I don't know if it's something you can just pass turn repeatedly until it tries to bribe you or if it's a one chance thing. Hopefully it's the former to make farming easier.
A demon should talk to you immediately once you bring it down to the red. If it doesn't talk to you, kill it and try again. Maybe you'll get lucky and get it as a drop instead (unlikely), but just keep trying eventually one will beg for their lives and you can get their essence. I find leveling them up unreliable unless you can make them gain many levels in a very short amount of time.
I just went +9 murakumo build, dont have any other attacks, I see you dont have charge, if you do go that route is it better to use impalers animus or charge.
Just grabbed the game. Should I regularly register all my demons asap? Ran into a problem where I was recruiting a demon but my stock was full. Even tho I'm at the beginning I'm the type to want to recruit every demon to increase fusion odds. Any advice?
I'd be fusing pretty regularely so stock doesn't get full. Registering can let you have access to the same demon you currently have which can be useful but that's more for later in the game.
This is very encouraging. I got this game because i heard how good it was, and i wanted to playbthe game mostly just using female demons(in any rpg u play i try to use only the ladies. Just felt right since i was a kid). But people were saying you probably cant do that because of how really specific and hard the game is, requiring very specific demons i was told. So now i am thinking this can work!. I have yet to find a nice guide of all the female or female looking demons in the game though, but that Eden looks nice and strong. How soon can you get her? Any other early level to mid game lady demons can i get?
Idk about you but I found that a lot of female demons are pretty strong throughout the whole game. But you should really collect as many demons as possible so you can actually fuse other demons, since some of the best demons are fusion only.
I’m level 15 and feel like a lot of the demons are just horrible right now and don’t get better until later but I want some awesome light and dark skills but right now it’s just some basic Hama 1
Did this for mermaid and it works really well. However, while she is level 52 and has a magic stat of over 80 shes doing very little damage and i dont know why??? any advice?
@@liialgo Its based on absolute difference. At a level deficit of 10, you deal 33% damage. So a level 52 Mermaid hitting level 63+ targets will deal 1/3 of the damage she would against a target of the same vitality, but level 52. This also means that if she gains 2-3 levels, her damage will *massively* increase, even with only 3-4 or so extra MA
Amon is the best attacking demon in the game. Megido flame is completely absurd. Low magic stat but still annihilates demifiends minions. My Amon only has like 115 magic and still does absurd damage. You could probably beat demifiend with just Nahobino, Idun, and Amon, without even needing stupidly high stats. Amon’s ability to consistently get damage on demifiend while annihilating the creeps is unmatched
No, I did some more testing yesterday and learned bonus stats cap out at 100 + (8 times levels above base level) so lower level demons don't actually get a major advantage.
Idk how I did it but I managed to fuse a nuwa (ascended version) with 146 magic no idea how the hell I pulled that off but hot damn I can't wait to see the damage haha
You broke the game. I just got to the final part and at level 70. My first time playing this game and on normal. Planning to play hard mode after. Whats the best way to farm money?
What if i keep fusing my idun into parvati and then fuse back into idun over and over and over If that works i am dedicated enough to get any demon to max stats, i already spent like 35 hours grinding like a hundred demons to level 99 for fusion
Since Idun can be used to fuse Parvati, can you do a similar loop to the one in Persona 5 strikers to max out stats? If you get all the extra stats on Idun fuse her into a Parvati get the extra stats on her fuse back into an Idun and repeat that loop will Idun continue to get stronger?
I know it’s probably late but i’ve tried this 3 separate times in different save files (fusing idun into parvarti into idun). and each time their total stats were still 518 at level 99 so it seems like there’s a cap on it
Also it seems like the level she ends up at doesn’t affect the stats she ends up with at lvl 99. I fused one idun that ended up lvl 66, one 75, and one 88 and they all have the same stat total
more difficult for those for sure, but higher level demons usually have higher base stats to compensate for lack of extra bonuses you might be able to get.
I discovered a couple days ago the total stat bonuses cap out at 100 + (8 TIMES level above demon's base level when fused) so you do not need to do this infinitely, just until you reach the cap on stats cause that's as strong as they'll get. Basically all 5 stat increases will add up to that.
@@pokalplayer6236 basically if a demon's base level is 40, the maximum amount of stats they can gain is 100 split across all 5 different stats if they remained level 40. If the fusion would make them level 41, they'd have a max of 108. if the fusion would make them 42, the max would be 116, and so on. It increases by 8 every level.
@@pokalplayer6236 Not necessarily, i wasn't able to really test it but i have a feeling its based on the prayer miracles so it would start giving 3 per level up once you got 20 levels higher. It just sounds about right that they'd basically let you be 100 stats stronger than an unfused demon at all levels.
Well here’s what I was doing if you are still curious. Neko Shogun is key here since it can elemental upgrade to Yoshitsune. I would find skills that would be hard to learn from essences and make an Erthys using them. There is a good fusion calculator online to help you plan it. Then I made a Neko Shogun using the method in this video while also levelling up the Elemental. Eventually I was able to fuse Neko and the Elemental together and get a super beefed Yoshi. As he isn’t a special fusion, he won’t get as much as Idun, but still he was strong asf.
Macabre is a common English word. You know, macabresomething disturbing and morbid? It’s pronounced: məˈkäbrə or məˈkäb it’s from French originally not “ma-kra-be” like you might try and read an unfamiliar Japanese word /pedant
Your analysis on Warrior's Conception is very inaccurate, in part because this miracle is entirely Anomolous at this point, but simply "leveling a monster up" wont always result in a better fuse. Certain monsters seem to just give worse modifiers than others, in fact. Ive been pulling my hair out hoping someone figured out why monsters with higher stats can give worse fusion stats than others but ive found no correlation between monster base stats, total stats or level, it feels like a hard coded crap shoot when you account for the variables. The one thing for sure is that the prayer miracles give +1 to their respective stats for the first 20 levels after their base level and this is reflected when the fuse level ups giving a deceptively high stat yield. Next run im purposefully avoiding the fusion exp miracle because I need to know the math. Ive done generational fusing and ended up with worse than the original in this game and that makes 0 sense.
I discovered the day after this video that the stat cap for fusions is 100 + (8 times level above base level) so you will eventually get to the point it won't be worth it to try to fuse more. I think the best middle ground is to find the sweetspot of exp to give to fusion demons to get as many stats as possible.
