Shin is at the point where Death is always nearby (not because of him being the Headless Reaper or Undertaker) and he was always the one to live. "Why was I the only one to live, I should have died too along with them? Will I be remembered after I die? Will someone remember me after I die? Should I even Live?" (Not accurate) These are some of what Shin is thinking because when he dies will he be remembered or someone remember him? Not being remembered after you die is a lot worse than dying alone. That is why Shin takes a lot more risks in battle and when he is hearing the "The Dead," he just forgets and goes into berserker mode but with a really bad mindset. Remember what Federica said to Shin in the last episode, "I knew it, you're just like Kiri." In time you will get to understand why she said that!

Also, its "Nordlicht Squadron," of the Federal Republic of Giad, Western Army, 8th Army Corps, 177th Armored Division, 1028th Trial Unit, not Spearhead Squadron. They're former Spearhead members because to San Magnolia they are dead and time to replace them with other 86 members to Spearhead Squadron. Spearhead is still in Republic of San Magnolia. Remember when Cyclops said to Lena, "In a Few months they will be transferred to Spearhead," because those who live the longest in other squadrons they are sent to Spearhead to be taken out before a rebellion happens. So, Shin, Raiden, Theo, Anju, and Kurena are in Nordlicht Squadron in The Federal Republic of Giad in 86 part 2 (Season 2)
