Definitely respect him as an actor, he does it very well but he seems like a more traditionalist kind of actor who recognizes its roots in theatre and a large part of his career being that aspect. Like a lot of British actors seem to, seems to be a bit of a culture here too in Australia - as it seems our known actors are all heavily theatre based.
