You are exactly right! What a gift we have in his music and philosophical depth! He has the right answers and messages.. OUTSTANDING MUSIC PRODUCER....so PROLIFIC! Rips on that green guitar I love to see and hear! And he has great relations/colaborations with another hero of mine, Daryl Hall. I listen frequently.. I always hear something new!
"The wolves of the world are still hungry, but they are dying. There is no healing for them." - Who else ever wrote lyrics like these, that got me through my life?
My husband has observed me listening to TR's music and has observed the effect. He says Todd Rundgren is my guru. I don't know about that but when I hear this album, in particular, I do feel called to be my highest self - if that makes any sense. He's an anchor of sanity in an insane world.
I explain this effect to others 2 ways. One I say that we vibrate at the same frequency, and two, that he is my spirit brother. I decided that if there is an afterlife, I'll want to hang with him and all of you who feel the same way.
@Karen Pauley this album resonates very strong in me, so very emotional ,, life, death , afterlife hope and fear,,, all in there .. one of my favorites.. a absolute go to for me ,,it grounds me
Todd always speaks from the heart so he helps us to feel which is hard to do these days. He is a wizard a true star sent here to help us.Bless him as good as ever and never runs out of songs or talent
I'm a rather old curmudgeon, of sorts, now. But Todd has always informed my consciousness and life generally, since I was a teen. If my wife or kids or anyone else ever loses sight of this, all they have to do is watch or listen to vids such as this one.
love too see he includes the next generation. that's what the man is all about, music education. no doubt the kids today need it today. ...god bless todd. rundgren.
there is NO ONE who encompasses that compositional genius, inspired vocals and can absolutely KILL it on at least two instruments (not counting the studio itself as one of them)...
How awesome that this is up here. And how pissed I am that I somehow missed this being in my backyard and not seeing it. One of my favorite albums of all time. Glad he made the effort to do it after all these years.
What an awesome performance from all. I've not heard anything that great in a long long time. Some magic in the air that night. The group of young folks made the whole thing sound sooo rich.☺😊😊
this is amazing!!!! I never cared for this song too much on the album, but this is how it should sound!!!! The live choir and instrumentation give it so much life!!!!!
gracias sr ho joven harryrunt danu por permitirme escuchar la cancion en vivo del mestro todd rundgrenn de brillo y dios os bendiga a todos, y belizimo coro de jovenes honestos y buenos, dios bendice
Love this man, unmatched by any other musician in the world and will always be the best, God blessed all of ua who are fortunate to have heard all of his lps and possess them or are buying one by one the cds instead now, such a more crisp sound and sometimes extras on the cd versions. This has always been a favorite from Healing lp and the rest of the cd is completely different, unreal both sounds on his lps, he always triess to do more than 1 thing all the way through and does so well playing all of the instruments himself in the studio and a band with him live. Pleae look at as many of the unfamiliar videos you have not heard of and you will e a fan very quickly, unparalled as a guitarist, lyracist, musician, producer, I could go on forever, this man is the best! Still tries to do his jumps live!!!
as todd said a few years ago when he was in ringo's all starr band again, 'from the sublime to the ridiculous' - he performed both 'love is the answer' and 'bang the drum' on that tour - the guy from 'mister mister' performed 'kyrie eleison' on that tour too
tremenda cancion del sr todd rundgren brillo, y su gran grupazzazo mas los coros de exelentes jovenes demostraron tanta emocion que se deplego por todo el ecsenario, dios los bendiga a todos
is shine only a star or a moon a sun in the sky ........... are we not a one that can...... shine as well......... as we were created to be a shining one ........ for some one .... to make life better for them......... the ones needing to be helped ........ by those that can....... be the help line for them..... to go on....... to be a better one to take care of themselves .......... a lesson taught of how to be more ..... you can learn to be ..... if your are taught how to be that one to help your self........ survive ........ to be the one that picks you up to more is the way to survive ........ help you find a way to shine .... be the more you were created to be...
Who is the guy playing the wind instrument? I have a little crush on him. PS, I missed this tour in 2011 but saw TR solo at the Old Waldorf in San Francisco in 1979. He is an amazing person.
Love the song and performance. Just wish someone would remix the audio to make it less of an earbleed. Sounds like it the eq was set by someone with hearing loss.
If you haven't watched Jason Kamasz's 4 part TR bio yet, you should check it out, it's brilliant! Here's a link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z11BDg26mCQ.html
