Ty, my dude, Brent (the lead singer) has done some killer covers, INCLUDING blues great Otis Redding's "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay"... you've gotta check it out. Him and Zack (the guitarist) have a side project called Smith & Myers... I really want you to check out that Otis Redding cover. This video (I've seen it dozens of times) is so fun, because it's just them. No special effects, no makeup, just these 4 awesome musicians doing their thing, and they maintain this energy, this vibe during their live shows. Hands down the best concert I've ever been to. Barry's dreads going nuts while he was beating THE HELL outta those drums was awesome. Side note: At the end of the video, the guy saying, "Oh F**k that hurt so bad!" was Zack. He had just had surgery on his hand a day or so prior (what for, I don't recall) so playing the guitar during that shoot was... a little uncomfortable to say the least.

I really love that song. Chad's voice always has emotion and power, but his line right before the last chorus, "Father's hands are lined with guilt, for tearing us apart, guess it turned out in the end, just look at where we are. We made it out, still got clothing on our backs, and now I scream about it... how it's so bad, so bad, so BAD, SO BAD!"... the anger, the frustration from his own dad leaving him and his mom at a young age... one of his truly more visceral moments.
