I've had anxiety since childhood , didn't realize it until adulthood, and getting help for depression as well. I'm glad you are getting help. One thing to note with addiction. It's not that he won. He fights it every day. And every day he is clean, he wins.

Anyone can do it. I'm nobody and I did. 6+ years clean and free. The world opened up and let me in. It was cold out there.

That's a demon that's in our heads because when you put yourself on your highest level and you get in tune with your highest level spirituality your higher self you won't be an addict you'll conquer all your demons because now you are an highest form of yourself and you have done your Shadow work purging that addiction and whatever else it was that was low entities and low vibrational! now you're at a higher vibrational level which means that you attract higher vibrational level things and though sometimes your level of vibrations may go down a tad, it's very unlikely that it will ever go down that low again because your spiritual and you have the understanding that the only thing guaranteed in constant in life is change! So never try to stop it just enjoy the war I because life's a journey and no matter how bad you think it is it's always for your higher good! You've got to close one door before another one can open! So if you're stuck in the past you're never going to move forward! You've got to forgive and heal and that means forgive any and everyone that's ever hurt you forgive yourself and then processed and released that pain no longer carry it with you no longer claim it learn to accept and love yourself that's what life's about unconditional love and it starts with you!!! which means you purge out all that crap that's no longer serving you and you're living for the greater good and you're helping others live for the greater good by shining your light on to them helping them heal and they interns to shine their light on to the others helping them them and when you get enough people shining their light on the other people then the evil AKA lower vibrational energies or entities AKA addiction drugs alcohol will be extinguished they will extinguished themselves just like a wildfire if you extinguish enough of the wildfire the rest of it will extinguish itself. I don't believe once an addict always an addict I believe that the limits that we place on ourselves just as long as you believe that you're always going to be an addict then guess what you will always be just that! I am not an addict I was an addict but I conquered my demons I doing my shadow work and becoming my higher version of myself going inwards and being authentic learning who I was what I want in life instead of basing my opinions and my values of myself in my acceptance of myself trying to look for another people it's all I had to do was look for it in myself give it all to myself everything I wanted already had it! To stop listening to what people teach you which is called conditioning and we are we begin conditioning the day were born. Conditioning is what you're taught to believe. Being authentic being your authentic true authentic self being one in alignment with your higher self means that you are authentic you are showing exactly who you are to the world in you're not ashamed you're not afraid and you don't care what people think or say that's authentic you are your true authentic self you shed away or Purge everything that you were taught from the day you were born. I'm not saying that they were wrong because they were taught the same thing the day they were born. who says that way is right? who said that's the way you have to believe? that's the things you have to do in life? As long as you're not hurting someone else or yourself and you're doing what makes you happy then guess what? you're doing what you're supposed to do. It's none of my business what others say or think about me because it's not my job to put my happiness on them and it's not their job to put their happiness on to me. That's what's wrong with the world today they want to judge everybody for what they do when all actuality it's probably something you do too because people mirror people all the time you project your shadow-self on the someone else and they mirror it back to you so normally something that you see in someone else that really irritates the shit out of you or pisses you off so badly it's more than likely them mirroring back to you the ugly in the darkness inside of you so you need to really go inside and reflect and see what it is that you need to heal and release because is no longer serving you and maybe it did serve you at one point in time in your life but now it's not and you can release it! I've seen them twice; The second time when I was at Bliss, they were headlining, with Papa Roach and Otherwise, and it was a truly amazing experience. They were promoting Amaryllis, which is another great album. If you ever get the opportunity, go for it. You will NOT regret it.

What I love about this is the story the song tells if you only listen to the lyrics, while the video gives you the same message, but applied to a different situation. I can feel the deep compassion Brent has for his friend Eric through the lyrics, while in the images from the video give a sense that there is cleansing in moving forward with one's life after profound loss. This song touches my heart and gives me hope. Start each day with a grateful heart .

I lost 13 people, all close family, in 2016, the worst of which was my mom. I was an emotional basket case. Still am some days. I feel you.

Hi Chris Thank you for posting and sharing a Part of You with US I too battle Depression It is only One of the many💔 but Bipolar Disorder I with Mania being the headliner with Panic/Anxiety (& quite a few variants of Anxiety) with Social Anxiety following Bipolar as a Top Contender & the ENDLESS daily Challenges & Struggles which are REAL & PAINFUL continuously making even a simple task a struggle within😢 The Struggles They are 24/7 365 They Will NEVER go Away They Will NEVER Stop and I wanted You to know that I feel like you do ALONE in a room of thousands but feeling as if Everyone knows & They are all looking at me & it is the most uncomfortable feeling to the point where because of the Social Anxiety mixed with EVERYTHING ELSE I Never Make it to the Event, Celebration, Party, Cause or any other Function I am Frozen with Fear and If I feel determined that day I will really try hard to leave but it takes at least 3 hours+ for me to open the door, walk out and leave only to get half way to my destination only to turn around because I'm going to be sick but Inside I want to be there I used to be the Reason there was a Party, I organized huge functions & addressed the masses as the Hostess I want to be with people (well sometimes & only for a few minutes) My "family" they think I always have an excuse like I'm just lame & don't want to be there where in actuality I want to be there so badly but They gave up on me so long ago & by assumptions & lack of knowledge or basically hey why dont you try to know me instead of judge me if my own "family" can be that intentionally hurtful to me OMG! What the hell are Strangers capable of wtf?! No Lauren's World is a nice place to be I have my Four Paws Family & Unconditional Love💖 What more do I need? I have battled depression since childhood even to the point of trying to overdose on sleeping pills I am 51 I have always asked "have you ever been in a room full of people and been the only one there?" so i know exactly how you feel man,you will learn in life that people are fake and you can only depend on you for your happiness

Not really a fan, I like a few songs like devil and cut the cord, however, if a lot of dedicated fans don't like this songs direction, maybe there's something to what they say.

Actually, as a longtime fan, I think this whole album is fucking brilliant. Shinedown is not about a "Certain Sound" and it never has been. Shinedown has always been about musical and lyrical honesty. Bands grow and change... and Im REALLY glad they do, because I don't want to hear the same record rehashed over and over and over again. That's not how *REAL* creativity even works!

As Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park said, musicians are artists and enjoy being creative with their music; their music will change as their life experiences change. He also said that it would drive a band crazy to produce the same song over and over, which is why Shinedown said from the beginning that they will never produce the same album twice. Mike also said that what they produce will never please all of their fans, so as long as the band is happy with the product, that's all that matters to them. I've listened to Shinedown from the very beginning when 45 was released (2003 I believe). I have seen them 7 times (would be much more, but I live in Canada so I have to travel 5+ hours almost every time to see them) and every show is amazing because they put their heart and soul into everything they do and clearly love doing it. If they produced Leave a Whisper 6 times, I'd probably be sick of hearing it repeatedly for the last 15 years. I love having 6 albums to choose from that all have different vibes that I can choose based on how I'm feeling at the given time.

Chrys, I am glad you are here. My brother committed suicide several years ago and then hurt never passes. I had a gift of comfort with two dreams ...he gave me a small hug the first time. I asked him what heaven is like, but he laughed and only said , "Well, you know". He was always hilarious..the second time a "bear" hug and I could feel the deep warmth of it all over. Please get or continue getting help. Even though we, whom are all posting comments don't know each other, these situations still bring us together to support and care for one another. Your strength has increased everyday. God's love constantly shines upon you and He never leaves your side.

It isn't a matter of "lost their rock" for me, but when you juxtapose this against "Leave a Whisper" it is nothing like it at all - so, it isn't the Shinedown I originally fell in love with. I wouldn't say this is a "bad" song, but it's just not for me.

They are using instruments to make noise, along with singing in Rythmn. You sir - do not get to label which genre you personally feel they fall into. They have to right to play whatever and however they want and it is up to the listener to decide what that genre means to them. Oh, so sorry 🙏, I would like to see them in concert sometime, they played here but had to pass on it because bad things were happening with me and my man and had to move and it was the concert was on a Tuesday and it was like an hour away and he had to work the next day. It was two days before my birthday too.
