what a singer. Just breathtaking in everyway. Lyrically and musically. Puts every other group such as One direction and Nicki Minaj in their place. This is real music, the way its meant to be played... Raw Talent :)
Saw them 2 weeks ago in the UK with Iron Maiden... they were fantastic. Opening for Maiden is arguably one of the most difficult gigs for any band: Shinedown owned it. This song was absolutely stupendous... lights on the crowd... a sea of hands in the air. I'll never forget it.
9 dislikes I can't fault this at all you try touring all over the world a show every night see how your voice is shut up Brent smith your amazing and a true inspiration on my life and so many others
First time i've seen anyone mention John Cooper on their list of favourite vocalists, and i'm glad you did. The guy's got some serious talent, hell of a bassist too.
heh this song reminds me of a bible verse.Psalms 23:4 the shit that he went through and he still rocking.brought me threw some rough shit thats for sure
To the very few Who actually disliked this: It is fucking hard to sing this, especially the high notes in the chorus! Being a high Baritone, Brent does a stellar job hitting them, PERIOD.
I am a HUGE shinedown fan. but lets be honest... This is not brents best performance. Maybe he was sick, Maybe he is hoarse from the road. Who knows but He wrote the song, dont blame his baritone voice for inability to hit notes as he could have written it differently if it was hard to do and repeat on the regular. he can hit them, just not for this recording. I still liked it but again, not his best performance.
you do know he came off this tour with 3 nodules on his vocal cords other singers cancell tours he pushed through I don't know how, he had to be in pain. Also an acoustic version of a sone is quite diferent than the full sound studio recording. I have seen him do an acoustic performance and he blew us all away. Best rock voice today!!!!
Not at all concerned with these criticisms about the "hoarseness of Brent's baritone voice". I freaking love their music, and their great taste in cover choices. His voice has this way of cutting through you and tugging at your soul. Only disappointed that I'm not able to see them in person.🤘🏻
Gontier is amazing his lyrics voice nd emotion is amazing. Draiman is a beast, Bret can be good i like spme pf his songs. and Skillet what more can i say
dont want to beat a dead horse- but the voice is great and -to me- separates these guys from the pack-- saw them open for KISS recently and it was pretty rockin- we may still be hearing from these guys in 5 years- i wish them well !
I Know They were Formed in 2001 But they Playing a New Rock style, I Mean they aren't like Lynyrd Skynyrd or 80's & 90's Bands, You know What I mean xD
