I broke down when I saw the fifth microphone... I could see it got you as well. No need to hide your tears I cried as well. We miss him so much & this tribute was the most beautiful song ever.
If you don't know, Jonghyun's voice is on one of the songs on this EP, the one called Lock You Down. It was recorded before everything happened. I wasn't prepared for it at all. It's not a sad song though, but I still cried. I missed his voice so much.

This still hurts and it made me so sad but the lyrics also gave me a little bit of hope. They love Jonghyun so much that he will never leave them. They're a family and their love and bond is forever.
This is such a bitter sweet moment. While this is such a beautiful tribute, there's a part of me that can't help think, he should've been there, physically with them. I would never ever blame jonghyun, but by him leaving, there have been massive repercussions. One of them being that the SHINee members have lost their brother. I don't even know what more to say. This ache in my chest will never go away, it hasnt gone since i heard the news. I can't imagine what it's like for them, his family and friends, or anyone else who has lost a loved one because of sucide. Thank you for a beautiful reaction.
This song is purely dedicated to their brother in heaven(Jonghyun). They wrote it themselves saying it's hard to forget, 5 layers of hands holding each other but now there's an empty space... but in the end, they saw a light from their brother and through his guidance, they can finally go back and stand up on stage confidently. #5HINee's forever 5 vocals, 5 actors, 5 dancers, 5 songwriters, model etc.

This song is definitely an emotional one. I have always felt some connection with SHINee since they were the first K-pop group I have followed from their debut. I lost two close family members myself around the same time they lost Jonghyun so I feel like in a way I am going through a similar healing process with them. This song is very beautiful and I am anticipating when they sing it live. Sorry for the ramble.

It's really sad to see them still hurting but I am happy that their still making music & performing for him & theirselves . Their voices are so beautiful. I really love onew & key voice. .taemin has beautiful voice I love it when he hits high notes . Minho I love everything about him he's funny, got amazing singing voice & I love his rapping. When I first heard the song , I noticed that the first lines in the song were Jonghyun. After that it hit me really hard. This song is a beautiful celebration of a close friend that meant the world to them and a lot of people.

Towards the end of the song if you listen you can hear Minho whispering something, he says “you did well” which was in Jonghyun’s goodbye letter. Jonghyun just wanted to be told that he did well being an artist.
Honey Rose - It's actually Onew. I saw the live performances and he always said the line "You did well" at the end. It makes sense being the leader for the group.

I love this song, when I first saw it I was like "why are they all looking so sad ?!" and I, like a lot of people here, don't understand korean. But when I saw the mic standing alone in front of the others members, It was like i understand every lyrics and the clip video. Everythings has connected in my head and I started crying like a baby, I understood that it was a song for them, JongHyun and for us, SHAWOL. They tell us how they tryed to turn their page, it's thanks to our suport and our light that they had the courage to come back on stage for us and for Jjong. It's a really beautiful song, with wonderful vocals. SHINee is really the best korean boysband I ever see in my life for now and I will always support them no matter what
Thank you for your reaction, I think it's good and I appreciate it. I really liked it when you said that the love is present cause that's what I felt. It hurts a little to watch the MV but it is a beautiful video. I see the different activities they were doing as what they did to cope. Them seeing the pearl aqua light which gave them strength to go back on stage, surrounded by shawols (who are represented by the light bulbs). This is just so full of love and my heart is warm. I know it's been a while since this came out, but I hope you eventually read the lyrics, because I think that while the song is sad, there's a lot of hope in there too.
The first time I watched the MV at SME RU-vid page, I didn’t cry because I was concentrating on the music itself, not the meaning of the MV. Watching it here this time, I saw the pain in the members’s eyes - especially in Minho’s eyes and Key’s eyes - and I noticed how each of them individually were trying to deal with their loss. When they came together under the aqua-pearl lighting on the stage, I was like, “Oh, good, they’ll grieve together now in the MV”. And then I saw the lone mic in the front of them, and Jonghyun’s face flashed through my mind and I just starting sobbing and weeping. This MV really brings home the love that Jonghyun’s boys have for him, how much they miss him, and how determined they are to continue on without him and make him proud. As far as the visual of the MV and the singing, SHINee is as fabulous as ever even though I feel the absence of Jonghyun. The MV and song are lovely, and throughout this whole album release I have never heard Minho’s singing voice so clearly before. He really does have a beautiful voice. However, I’m deeply saddened that I’ll never hear Jonghyun’s beautiful singing voice again. The surviving members of SHINee sound incredible together, and I look forward to more music coming from them in the future. I just wish that Jonghyun could be a part of the amazing future this group is going to carve out for itself. SHINee - a lovely tribute to you beloved brother. Jonghyun - you did well. I wish you were still here. I will miss you always. I love you and SHINee forevermore. SHINee will always have my love and support.
I cried when the teasers were released and I cried even more when I watched the music video. I was a wreck when I read the lyrics. Please listen to Lock You Down. It is a special track wherein the song has Jonghyun’s voice in it. Oh how we (SHINee World) miss his voice. 😢
I cried at both the beauty of the song and the emotion created by the MV visuals... but when I later listened with the English lyrics, I bawled my eyes out.
His middle spot...Will always be his ❤ We all move on in life but no one can ever forget. Yes. That's the uniqueness of SHINee. The harmonisation of their voices. When Jonghyun was around they sounded great, without Jonghyun their voices gives a different type of harmonisation which is also great.

I understood bogo sipda - I miss you - but even without a translation missing him is obvious. What I get from this song without having the lyrics is a combination of love, faith and support for the one they lost and for those who need to be comforted. They convey it musically though the gospel-tinged harmonies over the snare drum marching beat. The drums tell us to keep moving forward and the harmonies implore us to keep hope alive. I had the feeling that they wish they could have delivered this message to him when they had the chance and since they can't they're giving it to the world in his honor in the hope that it might provide spiritual and emotional support for anyone who's struggling.
