This was the first time Taemin really got to show off as a lead vocalist of shinee. Him doing Jonghyun's vocals here were so powerful, resonant and just unstrained. Really says something when a 3rd vocalist can be that skilled and brilliant(not even mentioning his dancing) I kind of wish Taemin does a song like this again
What I find amazing about SHINee is that every single concept they do fits them like a glove! This rock sound is one that I wish they did more (well, Misconception series has a few darker and harder songs and I love it!). Also Taemin definitely has some rocker vibes in him, don’t you think? 😆 Blond Kibum is drop dead gorgeous. Well, he’s gorgeous ALWAYS (Kibum’s appreciation squad assemble!) ♥️
Taemin has a great voice for rock! You should have seen them perform this at their 2018 concert (you can find it on RU-vid). He should really do more rock.
'WSS?' was such a fun era! It's a hype, feel good type of song, and I think, incredibly underrated, but I say that about a lot of not-as-popular SHINee songs lol. (Minho's rap segment, in particular, is one of my fave parts. I love the flow of it, and his face when he does it, and the fan chant. So good!) You could see they had a lot of fun performing it, and lowkey, it's a vocal rollercoaster. They all go off! Another great video. Love your SHINee Sundays, Caitlyn!
I get what you are saying about getting "warm bodies" vibes (I love that movie). The mv is so cute and this song is one of my favs, definitely watching Jonghyun hit those notes is even better
This was the first era that jonghyun dyed his hair platinum blonde too and we were all obsessed with it!! especially since we had been so worried for so long seeing him come back during the promotions was amazing! If you're looking for things to watch around this era that you don't necessarily have to react to there was also their 5th anniversary party where jonghyun performed his first ever solo written and produced song - look up 130525 Jonghyun Solo 시간이늦었어 - he first teased a bit of it on One Fine Day (a variety show from 2012 focusing on each SHINee member having their own individual vacation wherever they want to go) - but it was a total surprise him singing it during the anniversary concert - I was audio streaming the concert and it was amazing to listen to live! He later released the song as part of his first album Base in 2015 but 2013 is when we saw him performing his own song as an artist for the first time. I think it's an important moment in shinee's history - it's nothing too flashy just him singing on a chair and getting the audience to sing with him but I'd recommend checking it out! (sorry for the long comment)

Caitlyn. I definitely recommend 'SHINee world IV' in case of Korean concerts and 'DxDxD' in case of Japanese concerts.... this is only if u can react to few concerts... but if u can react to their Tokyo dome concerts and 'SHINee world 1,2,3...' also😁
Just a couple of things. In the MV you can clearly hear Jonghyun in the chorus. Not all performances are created equal. If you let us know what you are planning we can recommend which live to watch. In this case SWC V in Seoul is incomparable. You should check it out. Also concert performances are safer than other appearances especially Japanese tv.
I agree with you completely. I'll definitely reach out for tips and stuff when it comes to which things may be best to watch. 😊💙 I'm attempting to stay away from concert performances at the moment because I'm hoping to do a full concert series once I progress further into their discography.

If you're worried about lives getting blocked, try watching one from one of their concerts. Those are usually the best performances of any of their songs. Edit: Although as usual, some performances from Tokyo Dome seem to get blocked so those you will have to be weary about. Also I am going through all of your SHINee reactions one by one so you may have already tried this without me knowing. If you have just disregard this.
This was around the time when taemin had best vocals,I dont want to say than now its bad, but he changed his technique after this era, from my perspective he wanted to sound more mature, but i liked his voice before better. Maybe a good compromise would be to watch a concert live performance if you can find one? For the songs that had mvs you usually will find a concert one, because they were the promoted songs, of course. Since those are not from music shows they get claimed a lot less, from all I can see.
Why So Serious is a zombie concept, so you are 100% right! The only part that wasn't so zombie-ish was how SHINee were dressed/make-up but well we can just say they were beautiful, fashionable zombies. I love them doing rock style songs! (Lucifer rock version is *chef's kiss*) I remember quite a few shawols didn't quite like WSS and I was loving it so it was really fun seeing how much you enjoyed it. I hope if not for SHINee's comeback then at least Taemin's that we get more rock songs because he nailed WSS. Rock really suits him. I've noticed you're sort of going in order with their MVs... am I right? Which means that Everybody would be next? Or will you be doing another album next week? Just curious~
You're right. 😊 I'm trying to go in order so I can properly see their growth and progression with their music and as people. My plan as of right now is to do their next MV and then possibly go back and listen to the next mini album.
