One of life's biggest coincidences. Key and Changsub already personally knew one another many years ago but they weren't close back then. Even though Changsub is Key's junior in the industry, he enlisted in the military band a couple months earlier. When both of them ended up in the same military unit, Changsub suddenly became Key's senior and life became interesting for them. I was glad that they had each other even though Key admitted that Changsub did annoy him sometimes lol. I hope that they've kept in constant touch after discharge. Another video which you should catch is the one where the guys mentioned about them jamming out with the military band during a concert. So happened a Shawol attended that concert (where they were both emceeing) and videoed them. It was impromptu chaos at its best 😂

The porridge thing - what Changsub said sounds similar to the F word, much like Taemin's pronunciation of Adorable is similar to thw Korean word(s) for dirty.

Yes, Onew was discharged in July 2020, Key was discharged in October 2020 and Minho was released in November 2020. What you watched was Key's live event to celebrate his official discharge and ability to start doing activities again. Most idols hold special events to mark the day they are released from the military. It's a chance to greet fans once again because, until they are officially discharged, they are not allowed to do anything outside of their official military or public service duties. The whole reason why SHINee's Don't Call Me album and comeback was extra epic was because it was the first time SHINee had had a comeback for almost 3 years because of their military enlistments. They started their promotions for "Don't Call Me" in February 2021, only 3 months after being able to promote as a group once again. So, that just shows you how much work went into their album and comeback, because they did it all in only a couple of months and still blew us away and created something new and epic that had never been done before. Their 10th anniversary Story of Light comeback and all the members' solo debut activities in 2018 happened right before they enlisted. Taemin enlisted May 30, 2021 and he was originally set to be discharged in November. (I'm not sure whether switching from regular military duty to public service is going to extend his enlistment time or not.) Korean military enlistment usually lasts 18 months.

Btw when changsub was saying it's porridge it sounds very similar to "fucked up" so it sounds like he was saying the ice cream got fucked up lmfaooo

Thank you for sharing your reaction! Changsub and Kibum are definitely a weird combo. They are the same age and grew closer in the military. The edit made their interaction more fun. Also, the porridge part is funnier when you realized that "it turned into porridge" it sounds like "it fucked up" or "it's fucked" in korean. That's why they were laughing 🤣 They also did a two part interview on a youtube channel together. They drank and talked about their friendship and the military. BTOB are the funniest group I've ever seen, probably followed by suju! Key had a kind of manic energy for the first few weeks after he was discharged that was hilarious, all of his lives from that short period were wild, he definitely went a bit stir-crazy in the military even though he got to do more interesting things than most with all of the band events. I thought it was pretty eye opening that he said he would re-enlist rather than go through his trainee years again. Almost all idols do the comeback vlog (not sure when or who started it). Sadly we did not get any from Bigbang but their discharge videos were legendary (they held mini-fan outside of their military centers etc). Even though most were discharged in late 2019, it feels like a life time ago!

There was another show with these two and Key this time told that he would choose to be a trainee again and not to enlist in the military, he was very sure about that though.
