in exo, sehun and kai are known to speak honestly as they are. that is why sometimes suho worried if they are both interviewed without being accompanied.

Like him or not, Taemin is still so adorkable when he talks on these programs. It's like he's embarrassed but trying to giggle through it, it's so stinking cute!

For people saying that Taemin “sugar-coated” his words, taemin is known for speaking with no filter too. He danced to girl group choreos so he knows the technical parts of her dance and pointed them out. Also, Taemin appreciates feminine movements and even incorporated them in his choreography just like in his song, “Move”

it's normal if Kai said that it didn't look tiring for him, because he saw it from his perspective as a boygroup member, and also most of SM groups have a difficult and tiring choreography so his standards are different

Kai was the first to comment "They have to turn a lot" so it means he appreciate that the choreo is indeed hard. And before he said it looks easy, he made an introduction by saying, "we do choreos for men..." meaning he has a different standard and he wants to clarify first what he meant.

Kai was just straightforward. While Taemin really analysed the dance and pointed out some technical details that the girl finds difficult to pick. This is why I love Taemin. He would understand your weakness and encourage you to do better. Give that choreography to a guy and see how he performs it. Some steps/moves may seem simple but it's hard when it's time to execute them.

I am really proud of kai for speaking the truth in front of so many people and on a show. He gave honest opinion. And that's an opinion of one of the best dancers of kpop mind you. Rather than taking in a negative way people should appreciate him for speaking his mind. And for heaven's sake don't compare kai and taemin. Taemin is a person who will take positive things and motivate you and kai is a person who will tell your mistakes and motivate you. They are different persons. And both are kpop's best dancers.

yo but like, exo's choreography's actually pretty tiring, and Kai especially because he probably have much more expectations and would put more effort and energy into his dancing so that probably led him to say it wasn't that hard for that girl group. Honestly with the amount of dieting these poor girls do I feel like even those simple dances are pretty hard to do. Now you might say that applies for the guys too, they actually have muscle and are very strong. The girls are not allowed to have that much muscle so I feel like Yerin's point is valid. The idols probably said that it was not that hard because they haven't experienced it before. (notice that im NOT BLAMING KAI ONLY).

Let me get this straight, Yerin said that their choreography was sooo hard that she nearly vomited. When asking Taemin's opinion he humbly said that yeah, from his perspective the'res some technical difficulties. Then After School members were saying that their choreography was harder( one of them even said that their lips turned blue) and advised Yerin that maybe the way she feels is because of her health. She needs to work out to lose her muscles. Then Kai was ASKED for his opinion so he said "As he does men's choreography it didn't seem hard to him" which was highlighted. Now the issue is ya'll are calling Kai a misogynist, sexist and what not, all because the guy said that the choreography didn't seem hard to him. I agree that maybe, he could've worded it out better but that doesn't mean he should be hated on like this. Let's just acknowledge it now, ya'll are calling him out only because he's an EXO member because if that wasn't the case you guys would be mad at others too( Not saying anybody should be hated on INCLUDING KAI) for not agreeing with Yerin.

from a dancing perspective, i can say that the choreography that yerin did was quite hard. the spins that she did were very detailed and being able to move your entire body at the same time must have taken a long time to practice. i think the largest difference between boy and girl group dances is that boys usually have bigger steps in their movement and do footwork mostly, and girls focus on their entire body, doing things with much smaller, but defining detail.

Poor Yerin, some of them were so disrespectful towards her. Even if she would have done the entire choreography, they still wouldn't have grasped how difficult it really is because all the other members are missing and not performing with her. At least Taemin understood because of his experience and respect for female dancers, explaining the steps and everything, instead of insulting Yerin. It's moments like these that really show which people know what they're talking about and which don't. This made me respect and support him and SHINee even more. Gfriend&SHINee, fighting!

Have you all watched EXO's "Power" Live Stage Performance?? Kai did the spin the way best Ballerina would do. even better. Look! Ballerina is for a girl..And he did it well. Kai is real good at dancing since he was a kid. So maybe, he has a high standard of how a choreography can be called difficult even for a girl group. He is being honest. My two cents on the whole dancing matter: - First of all, beginning the story with "we threw up while dancing this coreography" was unfourtunate. I don't doubt that they did, but considering how idols schedules are they probably hadn't eaten or slept sufficiently meaning they were low on energy, as well as having to practice this exact choreo for x number of hours. Of course you would then want to throw up, that doesn't mean that the choreo in itself makes you want to do so every single time you perform it. - Secondly, I'm not a dancer and has no knowledge regarding what is considered difficult or not, but it is true that GFriends choreo has alot bigger movements (arms, legs, jumps etc) than other girl groups - which can be the reason why they're dubbed as powerful and difficult. - Generally girl- and boygroups' dances are different in style. The girls are often supposed to be cute or sexy, none of these equals big and fast dance moves (which boygroups dances often include). Other than that ALL DANCING is physically tiring, it gets your heart pumping and blood flowing so to say that one type of dance is easier than another might be correct BUT it does not by any means mean that you won't get tired from doing it. - What the companies and fans want from their respective group also differs depending on the gender. The boys can preferably be muscular while the girls should be thin. Of course that will reflect on your muscle mass, the amount of food you get to eat as well as how much energy/power you can put into the choreo. - Finally: Yerin handled the situation very well by being able to make everyone laugh instead ("Oh, is it not tiring?"). Taemin was very good in his response, which in my opinion truly shows that he's danced for many years but is also used to the variety stage, in explaining that the dance moves might not be big and powerful but there were alot of technical details in every part of the dance that you have to master. Then there is Kai. He obviously could've phrased himself better and given a softer impression while he said it, but that comes down to variety exposure (in addition, I think that he, as well as everybody else in the audience, were disappointed by the level of cuteness in the dance since they expected something like a cardio pass). Yep, this turned into an essay. If anybody is knowledgeable in dance could they point me to some kpop dances that are considered difficult (technically or physically)? The kpop scene holds a much higher aptitude than the western singers and I've grown used to the skill that they're showing.

I agree with kai too cuz boy groups have powerful and fast choreographies so of course their standards to the word “tiring” is really different but taemin answered in the perspective of a woman so that’s why he understood that it was tiring for her

I think Yerin should be more considerate while many of her sunbaes is there and most of them are idols who have danced to difficult choreography, especially Lizzie. It's true that her group is on hiatus but Yerin was like complaining so they were like scolding in a funny way and that's fair. I really don't understand why people are bashing Kai for it as well. Watching a lot of variety shows, I know how straightforward attendants are, it's how it works.

tbh i think (this is all my opinion) yerin chose the wrong words to say. i do believe it could be very tiring especially after practicing those steps continuously for hours but claiming that it was harder than other girl groups is quite offensive i guess many guests were from girl groups and lizzy is from afterschool (the girls who danced with poles yes) but nevertheless, no kpop choreo is easy may it be for men or for women, may it be cutesy or powerful. + ill be seeing gfriend perform live soon yaaaay

I don't think we should cancel Kai or anything, BUT what he said WAS insensitive because it specifically tied ability and gender while the others did not. This seems especially hurtful given all the INCREDIBLE female dancers and choreographers in the KPOP industry. Taemin specifically works with amazing female choreographers with incredible physical ability and stamina - Koharu Sugawara and Rino come to mind. Whether this choreography was hard or not was one thing to comment on, but whether a comment on gender was necessary is certainly worth at least a little criticism. Other powerful female choreographers: Janelle Ginestra (Red Velvet Monster Choreo), Sienna Lalau (BTS On Choreo), Mina Myoung (Jay Park All I Wanna Do Choreo), Parris Goebel (CL Hello B's Choreo)

It’s the way Kai said it was wrong. Compared to taemin, Kai seemed to underestimate the claims cause she’s a girl. Taemin said it better. Imma be honest boy group dances just have a lot of energetic moves that makes one tired but most are easy to learn. I only know one gfriend choreography and i don’t think I’ll ever know anymore cause of how technical they are.

A lot of people said that the dance didn’t look that tiring but Kai just phrased it in a bad way. Girl group dances in K-pop often go for a more “cutesy” vibe, so I can see why he made that generalization, but then he changed his wording a bit and said that it didn’t look hard to him. Which makes sense because EXO’s choreos are way harder.

seeing taemin and kai together i never understand why people say they are similar. taemin is such a bubbly boyish young man with an incredible repertoire of derp faces and big smiles, where kai is much more reserved and "manly". i'm glad, that kai isn't as easily embarrassed anymore, although there is still a bit of that left, too. i bet they get along so well because of their differences rather than because of similarities.
