The theory says that Taemin set the car on fire with Minho and the girl inside and then he felt so distraught for that and that's what all the imagery with guns and stuff means. Idk, it sounds pretty accurate to me. Listen to Rescue btw, you're gonna like it!

the guns are a metaphor for the pain in his heart having lost his one-sided love fall for his bro. He was not yet over her. This is more common than you think.I commend SHINEE on this major achievement to consistently move their sound yet keep the essence of who the group. They truly trust each other. Bothers 1of1 and this repackage 1of1 is pure genius. THANK YOU SHINEE for really making music.

Minho and the girl died in the car. There are 2 theories: 1. Taemin started the fire because he was jealous 2. JRE I'm pretty sure that Tae killed Minho in the mv. When you first see Taemin alone he has a lighter and drops it onto some sort of liquid, along with a shot of the car leaking some sort of liquid. Later in the mv after the fight Minho and the girl get in the car and it's right after Minho turns the keys that we see the car light on fire. So my best guess is that Taemin dropped the lighter onto gas that the car was leaking and blew up the car with Minho and the girl in it.. (Not super positive this is actually what happened buuuut just a crazy theory ^^)

Katie Harris-MacDuff my theory, Minho and Taemin liked the girl. of course she liked Minho. after the fight with Taemin, Minho and the girl died in the fire. Nothing but a faulty gas tank that caused the fire. I don’t think Taemin killed them but it was a genuine accident. When the car blows up, you can see members running to the car in a panic. I think the lighter hitting the ground and setting the car on fire symbolized the girl (the lighter) ruining their friendship (the car). the floating guns pointed at Tae symbolising his inner feelings, like he made his friends wanting to drive after the fight, and they died

I don't actually think Taemin started the fire intentionally. I think it's possible the lighter broke and the fluid spilled. Taemin forgot about it in his frustration and probably wasn't expecting them to park their car over the lighter fluid. When Minho started the car, the fluids reacted. Key wouldn't have done it because he would have put everyone at risk and was unaware of the lighter. If they're homeless, I doubt Key knows how to rig a car to explode, plus he just wanted peace. I think Taemin might have realized it was his fault, hence the allusion to taking his own life, but he wouldn't do it on purpose. If he loved her, he wouldn't risk her safety like that.
