true, but then at the same time it is because of scalpers that the market gets driven up for cards meaning our cards past and present are worth more, AND we will be able to purchase these items past the dates they are in stores. scalpers are the reason we still have jungle boxes to open.
Got 5 preorders of the etbs and will be selling them but keeping some for myself. I do this so the cards I get as a collector are payed for themselves by the profit made from other boxes.
Surely a set with more nostalgic value would of been more fitting for the 25th anniversary 🤷🏽♂️ or a set of favourites from each generation with a shiny version if their original artwork. Would be fun

Gonna order an etb and dragapult box near launch when I've paid off my credit card. Seems crazy to drop so much money before Christmas on stuff for February
Legit pre orders usually don’t start until a month until the set actually releases thats distributors don’t even give the allocations out until 2 to 3 weeks before the set actually releases and most people that do do pre orders right now will be assed out of the stuff they ordered and will have to wait for the person they preordered from to refund them there money it’s a risk for sure but if you have money to burn I guess it’s worth but if you don’t have a ton of money and can’t afford take a hit when when these people get there allocations and only get 10% of what they are asking for you then have to wait on them to refund you your money and it might not be right away cause they will be refunding a lot of people their money so you may actually see the product available somewhere but have to wait on your refund and possibly miss out it’s a crazy world out their right now but I really wish that these people with pokemon accounts with distributors would wait to do pre orders until they get the actual number of product they will be receiving and know for sure what they will actually have and be able to sell
I was very hesitant on Champions Path and ended up pulling the trigger. The set honestly flopped for me. Started to hate it. Pull rates were incredibly crappy. Now with this set I'm just not jumping on it. I'm no longer excited anymore. Just going to keep my money for something better maybe SWSH 5.
I wonder if the psychology behind Shining Fates being a bad name is in context. If Shining Legends and Hidden Fates didnt exist, would people like the name? If so, then the problem is were maybe just annoyed at Pokemon and Nintendo being a bit lazy

@@ratedstrix i seen shiny star v restocked for 50$ + the shippinh again and again on plazajapan and etc while theres ppl sell for 120 plus shippinh here and there. So with other stuff that is still in stores ppl sell for more
I remember for shining legends durinf the scarcity I went into a shop to buy a crimson invasion etb and accidentally came out with a shining legends etb! Now I have a psa 10 shining ho-oh from there worth £200 through my own dumb luck!

It's amazing because I also do remember that I had a bad day at school all around and came to my cardshop and bought a premier ball tin, when I opened it at home the full art Wick was in it!! I was sooooo happy man because I love that card!! And with the shining legends yeah I did buy them from a seller I now have the full set and very mint!! :)

All this preorder anxiety has me nervous! I called a local store Tuesday and they told me they won't take preorders until they get allocations. I tried another, who I have a good relationship with, and they readily took down my info and my list of items I want and said they'll hold it for me when it comes in, like they normally do with Magic. It almost sounded like I was the first person to ask about Shining Legends, so, fingers crossed!

Waiting for the official release. I only wanted one card from hidden fates set and i caved and bought it. Saved a ton of money. Likewise theres only gonna be 2 or 3 cards i want from this new set according to the Japanese sets. Saved lots of money just buying singles. However i love the ultra prism and cosmic eclipse sets. Will be getting a cosmic eclipse box idc if i have to pay 200. I wanna keep that baby sealed. =)

I think it’s a smart idea for them to call it shining fates among anything else, enables more casual/new Pokemon card collectors to make the connection to hidden fates, and hopefully help make the same hype for the new set, as I’m sure a fair few people aren’t as interested in the newer pokemon, and so this set may be the introduction to the Galar Pokemon 🙂
