fun fact: the original name of this Quincie ability is "Vollständig" what means "complete" in german. But for some reason in in the sub is "voll stern dich" which literally means "Full Star you"

For reference, Shinji solo’d an entire army of Hollows with his Bankai. That’s how OP it is, given the right conditions, but very dangerous otherwise. That’s why it was banned from Soul Society.

What I love with Shinji's Bankai is that is fits his theme of "reversal" to the point where even the uses of the Shikai and Bankai are reversed. For most characters, the Shikai is more useful against a great number of weak enemis (to save strength if anything) while the bankai is more useful against a single strong oponent (because of how taxing it is). In Shinji's case, that's the oposite, his shikai is very useful when fighting against a single oponent, while his bankai is kinda useless unless he's surounded by oponents

It Cannot be overlooked that Mayuri was genuinely willing to cut contact with Urahara who had vital info just because he bugged his outfit. [Repost]

Vollständig is just the Quincy equivalent of Bankai. It's not stronger or weaker than banaki, just a different way to power them and their shrifts up (similar to Resurrección). Them stealing bankai was more a way to mind fuck with the Soul Reapers, when they got them back, this was just plan b for victory.

The other reason, that Shinji cant use his bankai in the first invasion, because its forbidden to use his bankai in the Sereitei.

Shinji's bankai would have been stolen Neel His Zampakuto isn't fused with his hollow,he and all the vizards(including Ichigo) need to train specially for that,to be like Ichigo and Tosen(yes,Tosen) That's why they cant use the masks and bankai at the same time(Ichigo as a exception) If they train enough they will fuse the Zampakuto and the hollow and be able to use Ressurrection as well as the Bankai. The closest we saw this happening was Ichigo VS Ulquiorra Tosen vs Gomamura and in this ep with hitsugaya Q&A number 133 in case anyone want to look by themselves

Imagine if Shinji went solo against Aizen and all of the Espada. That would be brutal. Even if Aizen was able to take on all of the Espada at once, he'd be forced to destroy the only reason he was able to take down Head Captain Yamamoto. And no, Aizen wouldn't be able to counter this in time because he didn't even know about Shinji's Shikai, let alone Bankai.
