The Greatest Scarf of all time.

This is one of the most entertaining ps2 games ever and not a lot of people even knew about it during the time it came out. Ps2 really had a lot of crazy experimental arcade style games made for it. What an era that will never be recreated.

Admit it. We all want that scarf.

I really hope SEGA brings back Shinobi with a remaster of this one.

This is game is just so epic. The soundtracks, bosses and the gameplay.. 10/10 would play it again if they remastered this.

everyone make jokes about the scarf, but man... it was very well animated , its rare to see cloth move so smooth in ps2 games such as this one.

the ps2 golden age of gaming. back when developers could explore concepts and creativity wasn't stifled in the name of micro transactions, games as service and greed.

This game is really sad if you think about it. Hotsuma was forced to kill his own blood brother for leadership in a duel, killed his fellow clansmen to free them from enslavement, watched his master die, betrayed by his childhood friend (Because the man she loved was taken away from her by the Oboro), and found out that his brother was alive, only to be revived as a demon (which led to him being killed by Hotsuma). Hotsuma is indeed a tragic hero if you think about it.

This is the only game that actually made me rage so hard that I almost busted a vein in my head haha.

The remake of this game is pretty fascinating. The redesign of the protagonist is iconic. So many years later, I still cannot beat this game.... I'm just suck.

This game is awesome once you understand it. But man that final boss is so frustrating.

The first boss in this game kind of reminds me of a MUCH more difficult version of Black Turtle, which was the second boss from the original Shinobi arcade game in 1987.

The reason I asked for a PS2 for Christmas back in 2002 if I’m not mistaken, was this game, I played it at GameStop for a little bit, but it was enough for me to want it.

This was one tough game. But man is it good. Also IMO hands down one of the best video game soundtracks ever. Glad this didn’t go the route that many ps2 games have where copies are extremely overpriced online. Still, this deserves a remaster.

The secret to defeating the boss is to wait until all 8 henchmen appear and defeat them first, then you can kill the boss in just one hit. In fact, I'd really like to see someone other than me play the Moritsune character at Super Dan level with all the S ranks.

Every time there is a pause in fighting it is best practice for ninjas to sheathe their swords, fold their arms and pose vulnerably.

Game was sick as hell

When I was 8 years old I finished this game and after 10 years I searching it here in RU-vid to watch all cut scene of this game and now nostalgia kicking me here. I finished this game before without understanding the storyline but now I feel sad for the ending.

Shinobi and Suikoden 3 were my first two games on PS2.

I tried looking for this game all day on yt because I had a blurry memory of it when I played it as a kid and I had no idea how to play

only the ultimate Shinobi San got to wear the most badass long coolest Scarf in gaming history Hiryu Strider would be proud this is one of those games that showed how a cool looking PS2 game can be aside of DMC1,2,3.. Castlevania Lament of innocence, CV Curse of darkness, shadow of the colossus .. Resident evil games, Drakan, Drakengard 1,2 etc etc well another good underrated honorable mentioning would Terminator Dawn of fate that is another great looking game that tends to be overlooked by general sociaty but what do they even now about gaming anyway?

you are supposed to use the tate combo to defeat the enemies .... if you use the tate gauge correctly you can kill the boss in one hit

The second boss was as far as I got. You can bait his attacks to make him fall off until half health and then use a scroll that makes your attacks send out beams of energy

One of the few good reboot games out there. With actual respect to the source game.
