I like how the Tinkaton line looks like a marketable plushie yet is extremely predatory towards Corviknight and the Bisharp line. Two of the coolest Pokémon xD
@@CartoDarkoworse in what way? Design wise or gameplay wise? Because if it’s design wise… why?? And if it’s gameplay wise, no, it’s not. It is not the worst Pokémon by a LARGE margin
@@Velvet-Of-Erionthis makes sense because being not shy would be selected against, considering all the shinies get instantly snapped up by trainers lol
I found a shiny Geodude yesterday in BDSP (clearing out backlog and it was in there) and was so afraid it would explode because I didn't have anything with damp. It was level 22 and doesn't learn self-destruct until level 24.
For Sinistea and Polteageist I think it’s a case that the cup and pot react to the specific spirit inside it. Either that or they’re picky about the vessels they inhabit
Funny story about Komala. I actually got one in either Violet or Scarlet (can't remember which). I wasn't even looking for a Shiny, I think I was just running around and exploring. I saw it and I was like "Oh. Forgot that thing existed. Hey, does its log usually look like that?" I ran into it, and yep, it was Shiny. I caught it and never used it lmao.
Imagine the number of bisharps slaughtered by Tinkaton for her to collect enough body parts from the shiny ones to make an entirely new hammer. Shiny Tinkaton should be a legendary at that point
Fun fact...Tinkaton's hammer in its shiny form does not match the pokemon it comes from's shiny Shiny Bisharp? Blue Shiny Corviknight? Silver Shiny Tinkaton's hammer? Bronze/Copper Hotel? Trivago (I couldn't resist the joke at the end)
The tea pokemon make sense, in that their "shells", the cup and the teapod, are similar to a crustacean's skin, or a snakeskin. It's part of them, but it doesn't grow, so they shed it
I like to imagine Shiny Tinkatons are just the really experienced hunters that actually found shiny Corviknights and Bisharps. We've never actually seen an actual Shiny Tinkaton.
Sinistea and Polteageist along with Polchageist and Sinischa are possessing the cutlery, so it makes sense that along with their body, the color of the thing they're possessing would change too. possession does more than just take control of something in most cases after all lol.
I was not aware that sinistea was also the cup. I thought it was always just the tea that was possessed, and that the face on the cup was just another false face like so many pokémon have.
Sinistea to polteageist: pot is blue but changes to pink Gamefreak: “let’s not do that with armarouge and ceruledge’s armour because they don’t need good shinies.”
okay but Shuckle is based partly on testate amoebas, blobby little cells with shells. Some of these can get to be several inches long, especially three groups of foraminifera known as the fusulinids (cigar-shaped, extinct), nummulitids (coin-shaped), and xenophyophores (cauliflower-shaped). That's not a rock Shuckle lives in; it's the shell it grew and/or glued together!
Ok, I guess the polteageist conundrum could be thought of as this: What if the cup changes color when possessed by a sinistea or polteageist. That way, it can explain the color change, since it is a ghost possessing a teacup/teapot. Basically it makes a colored aurora around the pot to show it's possessed
"komala is the log because the shiny is a different looking log" is the single worsted theory in the Pokemon series. I think shiny Pokemon who's item change colour is a fun idea if you ask me.
Sinistea and Polteageist existing in shiny color forms suggests that the pink color pot is a rarer tea cup and pot set to find. it is reasonable to think that the pink ones would know where to find a pink tea pot to move into as well.
The tinkatun line is interesting because it must biomagnify the shininess. The shiny bit is metal. Which is more than one pawniard's or bisharp's worth. Which means that s shiny Tinkatun is actually more like multiple shiny pokemon.
Dude shuckle god granted by demons and thought he was getting a new evolution, went to hell, went to Heaven, got reincarnated as a ditto and became a shuckle bro had a wish and he went through two stages of grief confusion and acceptance I think
I think that it’s just that different species have different reasons for one to be shiny, like getting a different item, it wouldn’t be shiny anymore without it, in canon sense
I hate this discussion. Shinies do NOT have to be lore accurate or reflect actual Pokémon. They’re creative works that look cool and are rare enough to not impact lore unless Nintendo wants them to.
The sun and moon anime addresses the komala thing, the log isn’t the actual Pokémon, but komala can’t live with out a log to hold or it will roll around crazily and cause trouble
The hammer for tinkaton is made from corviknight, if the tikaton is shiny, the hammer is the same colour as shiny corviknight(i think, idk for sure if it is that colour), and that is why it is that colour(if its shiny)
I got e theory that a group of eevees were mad that pikachu would always outshine them and so they wore the mask. But the eevees ended not getting caught and when they died the because ghost type. Either that or it’s just a silly ditto that transforms into something that gives people heart attacks.
Most Shiny Pokemon are created by placing the colors' hex values through an equation, which doesn't always look great. Some of them are deliberate, like Black Charizard, Green Machamp, and Red Gyarados.
Wish Applin m would've turned red along with a green apple. Flapple would've looked more dragonesque with that color scheme. The others too though. Red Appletun and red Hydrapple
I mean; there is a stupid amount of energy evolved in evolution, so evolution causing one to merge with the apple they reside in make sense. So, in Dipplin’s case, it’s both the apple, the wyrm, and the syrup
These are all examples of pokemon finding items to use or live in, so finding a rare variety of that item (such as a rare species of tree or antique kettle) is believable
I mean..I have an explanations. People complain about tiny shinies being almost invisible, same with pokemon with minimal differance. So with pokemon like Applin, Dipplin, Polteageist, etc. The hidden part is the pokemon, so we woulden't know if they were shiny or not, especially Mimikyu, where it's body is completely hidden. Am I reading to deep into this? Yes.
Bro forgot about wobbuffet😂😂😂. Although I guess it might be more of a sinistea situation because the tail is the brain but the main body is still a part of it. Still sinistea at least got an honorable mention.
Shiny Sinistea are extremely picky and will only move into a pot and evolve if it’s painted to the same color as its cup Or at least that show I think about it
I actually like these shinies a lot, im not normally a fan of pokemon that dont change when shiny, but i actually really like these types of shiny, its like one pokemon randomly decided to pick up a differently collored object for a change. Gives them a bit more personality and individuallity, other than the pokemon is just born a different collor. And ussually theres a pretty good lore reason for the different collor of the object to.
Actually if you look closely mimikyus true body changes They get slightly lighter and get a slight blue / lavander* tint * I have no clue what color it is i think im color blind
