Me I don’t play dominion or romulan but I play fed and kdf, so depending on my build I only need 6 flag ships at this time technically 3 or even one but if my toons science have a flag that’s science tactical a flag that is tactical etc tho you really don’t need to have one of each career I still fly tactical as my flag on all my toons tho I am slowly switching and I do have 10th anniversary bundle so I have tactical science and engineering type ships in that whole bundle which do have ships I love defiant and warship voyager and jefferies but haven’t figured out which engineering I want and I switched my science flag to equinox class and tactical to adamant class thanks to free tokens
I think that Discovery Prototype Starter Pack is worth considering "IF" you enjoy leveling-up alts & it's on sale. It's only good till level 40 or 50 but it has all of it's (7) weapon slots available from the get-go. I don't think I bought that last (the 13th) Anniversary bundle, I was just tired of the Terran theme. Cryptic with their "nerfs" are making it practical to wait for at least 3 months before buying anything lol.
First Responder Bundle is probably the best IMO. 3 great ships, with great traits and consoles, plus a 100% off coupon and other goodies. If I could only buy 1, that would be it.
I got the 10th Anniversary Bundle, with saved up stipends, and couldn't be happier. I wanted all of the hero ships, as well as three of the pack exclusive skins, and I feel like now my shipyard is diverse enough to carry me through the game. What sucks is ships like the California Class, Parliament Class, or Kirk Class are locked in gamble boxes, those are the kinds of ships i'd buy if they were just available on the zen store.
As a reminder, there ARE Zen sales for console. Also, console players can also take advantage of that console's own rewards programme(s) to get points that you can redeem in that console's store for gift cards.
Crossfaction Bundles are still a better deal compared to individual purchases there if you want the different faction focused ships. I don't think there are going to be many new ones, but they're decent for that...or for someone who wants to have some of the stat differences for things. Also, all of the Elite Starter Packs are rather good for their ships (Though the Fed one seems to periodically pop up as a free giveaway). The packs are also cheaper than the individual ships...and the KDF's one gives the Kor which with the "free" T6 from the KDF recruit gives 2 out of 3 for the Kor Stealth Fighter set, and if you grab both the Romulan Elite Starter Pack and the Legacy of Romulus Starter Pack, it gives you all of the parts for a pretty good set as well. There's also the other goodies included that are useful for doing more with a captain...
The only bundles I've bought were the T5 Vesta bundle when it was new, the T6 Vesta bundle when it was new, and the Legendary bundle when it came out. I kind of have a theme going.
It's not so much that they charge so much as the fact when you buy something that's been out for whatever length of time they suddenly nerf it. No offer of exchange or credit or even notice sometimes. It's bad customer service. How can I trust the thing I buy is the same thing tomorrow.
Disco's (I just cannot bring myself to type out STD lol shit I just did) version of Mudd was cruel and not very fun. The TOS Mudd can be good to watch, IMO
I want to get all the bundles... new wish was playing 10+ yrs ago but thats okay 10th ann should be coming within next month or so. Cant wait. Was leveling a fed character but i know i should prob do kdf 1st to unlock cross faction.
I watched this at work and I ha ve something to say about Stu's not recomending any of the t5 boxes, well he is right on it, but I would like to say remind people that there is no T6 variant of the Dyson sccience destroyer yet and it is a fun ship. not worth the whole box if you only want one of them though and dont care about the console set. I bought one and got the other at the anniversary giveaway and its not likely that I will get the other

Gosh this "New Version" of STO makes me wish that ARC had never let Cryptic cancel our original games Lifetime Subs. The Store costs in ZEN were a lot less than today, and Perks for Subscribers got discounts all the time, on in-game purchases.
10th anniversary bundle has Two ships I'm interested, a few starship traits, and a console or two that i could benefit from. Plus the dil, plus the epic token, plus the keys and infinity packs which i would sell for ec to prolly buy another set of the must have PST's (The Boimler Effect, IntelAgentAttache,TerrantargetsSysytem, I'm looking at you)for $290 ish? It would be spending a lot more $ if I bought all that individually...but I'm logging on, hitting endeavors, and whatever event going on and then back to RL so...the cost of the game has kind of sapped the joy of it.

If it was a ship that was was just unlocked to one toon it would unlock it on all. If it was a zStore ship you already had bought you baically would be paying for a ship that you already have, no price adjustment.
I was looking into the Mudds packs because I want to use them across the account but the packs in Mudd are crap. I just want a good T6 ship to use on different characters how can we do account unlocks if we get one we may already have. So only c-store ships can be shared across the account correct? and the 10th anniversary is the best option for newer players? I was able to get the Jemhadar carrier is a lot of fun and does great damage. I want to start a new toon and give them a better ship to start with. Also, how can someone get into your fleet I am not active all the time but would like to get into a group I can help out and is active.
Correct Zen store = acc wide Anything lockbox and lobi = individual account only 10th is great for value if u have the money. I rather take the 13th though. Too much money to get the 10th to grind out. There's questions of them nerfing traits and consoles. They nerf one of the 11th ones so even the sheer cost of some don't seem to make them think twice.
11th is meh. One of the Trait for 11th gotten nerf. So yeah bummer for $175 package. Which was stupid. 12th and 13th I would pick those as ships they will probably never touch unless they want to destroy whatever players left. 13th is better for the more to date ships.
I wanted the 10th so I waited on it. It pops up every so many months outta nowhere for just a couple days , so I held onto some Zen till it popped. I don't personally understand the 11th anni set. It's by far the most expensive and the legendary BoP is practically a worthless relic with it's underwhelming 4-3 setup. If they wanted to make a Lil more money they really should make it a 5-2 or 5-1 even like the Adamant. Bet that would get a few more 11th sales. 10th, 12th and 13th always seem like good buys though, or be like me and buy the Adamant and Lexington from the 12th and then the Hydra from the 13th separate. Hydra and Lexington especially are promo ship quality.

I played when this first came out for a few years off and on and then came back about two months ago following starting to watch Discover and Lower Decks. Man this game has got to be the worst money grab I have seen. Hundreds of dollars to get a ship......that is horrid. If they just redid this and chopped the price a quarter of what it was they would probably make more money and people wouldnt hate or resent them for this garbage.
