as a boy I used to sit in front of my parents fan heater on cold mornings. it made me feel relaxed and sleepy. today I am almost 59 and I still enjoy sitting in front of a fan heater to experience the same cosy relaxed and sleepy state I enjoyed so much as a boy. this video is wonderful. well done to the makers and please upload more

I grew up in a postwar rowhouse with three floors. IT was crammy but soulful. We had a Kamin, a kamin is a furnace made of marble and iron which is top fed trough a hatch and has doors that can be opened too. I remember sitting in my pyjamas at crisp foggy Winter mornings (these mornings were often the time where Mooses from the sorrounding forest wandered down to town looking for food. We had often visits of them in our driveway. We put on biathlon (skiing+shooting) and mom made Coco and i got buns with Brown cheese. I got so good and sleepy from the fire and IT enticed me and made me feel so inspirered from the dancing flames. IT was serene and quiet i liked IT alot and i miss it so.

For me it was the outflow of the hoover and the sound and warmth sitting next to the tumble dryer under the kitchen counter, both aged around 4 would be the earliest I can recall.

My uncle worked as mechanic in vessels, I remember he couldn’t sleep when he returned at home, he used to take a taxi to the vessel at night to sleep (it was 30 years ago).This sound was what he needed at nights

I absolutely believe you. People don't realize how much your sesnes-touch, sight, smell and SOUND can impact you, and when it affects something as profound as your need to sleep I can totally understand doing something like that. What is a taxi ride to be able to get a real night's sleep. Wow, there are even trolls on sleep/relaxation channels. The fact someone decided to question and mock someone on a sleep channel is what I find WAY more astounding!

You’re lying. I have been a marine engineer for almost 15 years and the first thing you do as soon as you can home from being months at sea working from Monday to Monday is SLEEP for hours and hours. So if you’re desperate for likes,try to come up with a better story.

One of my most cherished memories was hearing my mom blow drying her hair in the early morning because when I heard that sound I knew I still had more time to sleep.. so comforting when I hear white noises like this

Thanks so much for this, I forgot to open the cooling system and totally screwed our engine last night, if the captain finds out it’s the unemployment line for me. Luckily he’s confined to bed with ‘flu like symptoms’ so I’m just piping this through the PA and hoping we drift some where good!

One of my favorite places in the 9th grade...The school had an old mansion, w/ an ancient ARCO IDEAL sectional boiler, converted to oil at some point...The odd, snoring roar of the Industrial Combustion "Hev-E-Oil" burner could be heard all across the vast basement...

Just need it to throttle down for the alarm clock. Worked on commercial fishing boats for a long time and the engine throttling down was the sign we were at the next spot

Many people find white noise helpful for a variety of reasons, primarily because it can mask other sounds and create a consistent, soothing background noise. Also, it is scientifically proven that white noise (among the other things) improves focus, aides relaxation or enhances sleep. Therefore, don't worry, it's not a health condition, it's just another feature of human nature. 😉

I only wish there were gas turbine sounds, along with the sound of the hill cutting the water like you're in forward berthing. Maybe even a little bit of tv noise that you can't make out from the people watching TV while you're trying to sleep. Truly, closest I've heard to trying to get the sound of post watch sleep time since getting out of the Navy.
