A walk along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal from Shipley to the famous Five-Rise Locks at Bingley, West Yorkshire, England. With relaxing music. #Yorkshire #Bradford I use royalty-free music from storyblocks.com for this video.
Good morning Ivor.. what a beautiful video (lovely music, too).. Shipley to Bingley (or visa versa) is one of my absolute (peace of mind) walks, which I do many times throughout the year (in all seasons)... thank you so much for sharing.. 👍
Thank you so much for posting this wonderful walk, it brought back so many happy memories of my childhood and growing up in Bingley. I spent many hours playing by the canal near the three rise and five rise locks. We lived in Gilstead so it was a ten minute walk down to the canal. I went to Bingley Modern School, our cross country run went through Hirst Woods and Dowley Gap to Saltaire and back, happy days.
Wonderful vlog Ivor. This has got to be one of the most beautiful stretches of the Leeds & Liverpool canal. Congratulations on a great piece of filming.
I took my kids there yesterday, it was nice, but some dogs were not alead, bit scary, people need to be aware of others feelings not everyone has pets. Nice video with subs.
Ride up to 5 rise locks from Normy regular along river and canal then back home nice 60 plus miles. Really good video I’ve a few filmed on my go pro. But it doesn’t pick up all the sites like this does. 👍
Wow! That's one heck of a ride, mate. I had my bike stolen a few years ago and never got a decent replacement. I'd like to film a few vlogs on a bike. 😊
Thank you. I'm not sure of the titles and artists as I recorded this video months ago. If you play the video and use the Shazam App, it might tell you. 😊
Why are cyclists aloud to cycle on this walkway. When a child with his parents on a nice nature walk gets shouted at for being in the way of a cyclist (by the cyclist) and they race so fast behind you that you dont know which way to move to get out of thier way, surely cyclists should be on the road not a walk way with children, elderly and families.
I feel your frustration. The canal paths can be very congested at times but they are for both pedestrians and cyclists. As long as cyclists give way to pedestrians (in accordance with the law) which most of them do, then there isn't usually a problem. I tend to record my vlogs early in the morning to avoid the crowds.
Of course cyclists are allowed, towpaths were designed for horses not pedestrians. Pedestrians have thousands of miles of footpaths available where cyclists are not allowed. Go there if sharing this goodness bothers you that much.
