dipcifica is so cute. i love how pacifica's first instinct, whether she's excited or overwhelmed, is to hug dipper and then act like it never happened. and how that immediately leads to dipper acting like an idiot (in northwest mansion mystery, he gets distracted and walks into a column, and in face it, he doesn't stop smiling after they're all safe).
It's funny. For the longest time, I never thought Dipper and Pacifica could ever work as a couple. They had little to no interactions, nothing in common and Pacifica was too mean for Dipper to ever like her that way. But then, against all odds, Northwest Mansion Mystery completely proved me wrong and gave me one of the most wholesome, entertaining and beautiful ships that I've ever had the pleasure of obsessing over. I never thought much of Pacifica in the beginning, but now, I hate to imagine a future where she and Dipper don't end up falling in love and staying together forever.
The creator of the show never intented any romantic relationship between them in the first place, but after the series ended and before the release of comics, he said, that he liked the idea of them being together after seeing numerous fanarts
Just to add more in the ship, in the official #3 Journal, there is a chapter that talks about the ghost of Northwest Manor and it reveals Dippers thoughts about Pacifica. It shows the adoration regarding her actions. He also happens to write about her dress, her smell when she hugs him, and his thoughts whether he was crazy to think these kinds of things. (He also drew her face to the right side, the same way he did for Wendy.)
I honestly didn't initially think that Pacifica would be shipped with Dipper, especially with how Pacifica bullied Mabel, but after the incident at Northwest manor, it just seems right for Dipper and Pacifica to end up together. Mabel even improved her relationship with Pacifica by ending their rivalry. While Dipper doesn't end up with Pacifica by the end of the series, which was a good thing for the story of Gravity Falls that was being told, it doesn't necessarily mean that they won't end up being in a relationship later on in life, especially with the end of the series heavily implying that Dipper and Mabel will return to Gravity Falls for more adventures. I also think that their first hug, as well as the time they spent together, shows that Dipper and Pacifica may actually like each other. Even Mabel seems okay with them being in a relationship, as shown in both the special edition of Journal 3 and the lost legends Gravity Falls graphic novel. Their shipping may not be officially canon, but even the series shows signs of shipping Dipper and Pacifica. I honestly think that Dipper having a relationship with Pacifica may actually work for both of them.
I think one of the many reasons a lot of people ship or pefer Dipcifica is they have really great chemistry together and I really like the dynamic between Dipper and Pacifica a lot more. I think I said this before but with Dipper & Wendy I was never a fan of how Dipper awkward nature was exaggerated at times, or how Dipper feels the need to try and be "mature" and "cool" as he perceives it and put his real interests and persona on the back burner to try and be someone he thinks will appeal to Wendy. Dipper & Wendy was pretty cliché and one sided, Candy could maybe had work if Roadside Attraction could had gone better. From a narrative point of view I do like the conclusion and how the crush was handle from into the bunker. I feel like Dipper getting over Wendy is a crucial component of his character arc. Getting with her would be a step backwards for him and, she made it completely clear she's not interested. Overall I like the idea of Dipper and Wendy staying friends, Dipper moving on from Wendy and finding love again somewhere down the road. For the reasons why I perfer Dipcifica, when Dipper is with Pacifica Dipper is 100% confident and feels comfortable being himself around Pacifica. He doesn't feel the need to go out his way and try to impress her and insists on treating Pacifica like a normal person, which makes their chemistry work much better. When Pacifica is around Dipper she becomes a much better person and is able to be her true self around Dipper. Both Dipper and Pacifica help balance each other out and bring out the best from one another. Also Pacifica is apparently an avid gamer, and Lost Legends hint that she might secretly be just as much of a nerd as Dipper is. Both the Journal and Lost legend have implied that Dipper and Pacifica deep down do actually like each other, so I do see a lot of potential for a really interesting story between the two of them, and with more development I believe Dipper and Pacifica could work really great together if Gravity Falls every does return one day.
100% agree espeically cuz dipper and pacifica btoh be themselves when they are together. DIpper makes pacifica realize things and she vents to him at least twice (northwest masion, lost legends), which just bilds their dynamic even more.
theres proof and ill write it here grravity falls had many books that were canoon and offical (that tie into the show) that u may be unaware of Book of Bill - in this book, there is a part where dippers search history can be show and one of the last things he searches is pacificas pagents Journal 3 - dipper writes about how nice she smelled nice (so he picked up on that), his thoughts abt her (admiring in a way pretty sure) and he even drawss her picture exactly like wendy, but thats not crazy evidence compared to the next peice... Lost ledgends (basically makes this cannon) - implies that dipper and pacifica like like eachother at the very end of their story basically the narrator says "And so pacifica leanred that beuaty is only skin deep, and dipper learned that the best place for romance is inside a burlap sack." If thats not enough for u, at the very very end pacifica messages dipper which was mable by accident saying to dipper to not take the hug she gave her in the burlap sack romatically. Mable startes teasing her on text saying OOO u like him and stuff like that went on and at the end she doesnt denie it and is like DELETE THIS NUMBER, IM GOING TO SEND MY BUTLER TO BReAK UR LEGS, and AUUUUUGGHHH People also ship them together because of their amazing dynamic. Its rlly unique and feels refreshing, not something that was poorly put together. I dont usually ship poeple but this was the first time I did, and feel like they had potential to date. dipper and pacifica both are themselves when they are together. Pacifica can be finnaly act the girl shes hid from everyone for so long, vent her feelings about her awful family, and dipper finnaly can stop being akward and bein a bit obsessive like he was when he liked wendy (which is understandable, but in this case, dippers feeelings gradually increase rlly nicely) first book id recomend u read is lost legends its rlly nice then id read the other ones since they r longer then lost legends
*Ok, necesito decirlo, la primera vez que vi a Pacífica me cayó mal al instante, la forma en que trataba a Mabel y sus excesivas trampas hacían que le deseara el mal, pero después del capítulo "Northwest Mansion Mystery" es cuando finalmente empaticé con ella.* *Es increíble como en menos de 22 minutos pasé de odiar a Pacífica a shipearla con Dipper XD, antes de ese cap NUNCA se me pasó por la cabeza un Ship entre ellos 2 e incluso amaba el WendyxDipper, pero exactamente en la escena en donde la Noroeste abraza al protagonista es cuando cambié de bando* *¡¡Viva el Dipcífica!!*

Greetings! I'm glad you enjoyed my AMV of that pairing. I ended up privating it since most of my channel traffic was coming through because of that video which wasn't really helping my channel in any way. I plan to unprivate it one day when my channel is more balanced.

Eh, I watched GF for the first time during 2020 and I just didn't find this ship as anything substantial and found it...dull. The reason why I don't ship Dipcifica is because it feels so cliché with the whole Himedere and Tsundere act and "Oh I'm just a rich mean girl who was mean simply because I had crappy parents and hated you but now I like you despite the major differences out of nowhere in just one night" as the whole shipping thing happend like in one episode out of nowhere and didn't even truly become official much less expand upon in later episodes,Dipcifica feels like a rushed and poorly planned Lumity which is ironic considering I'm a Lumity fan,Lumity came after and Lumity was made by the creator of Gravity Falls's girlfriend. Not to mention Even if Dipper and Pacifica are romantically attracted to each other post-canon, I just don't see how a long-term relationship would work (at least, it would be very far from easy). The main reason they became interested in each other in the first place was by recognizing sides of their personalities that aren't obviously visible (namely, Pacifica's capability for compassion and Dipper's capability for unwavering bravery). However, their principal egotistical features are completely at odds with each other; Pacifica is still at the core one who values image and the principally visible, while Dipper intrinsically values ground truth and the obscure. Any relationship between the two would wear down these egos and make them much less like themselves, creating long-term tension unless they accepted relinquishing much of these core values;moreover,I find it baffeling that they would give her a minor character another spotlight in a comic for the same story told in the episode without offering anything new about her character but are fine with Wendy one of the main cast to be left as nothing but an irrevelant-one dimensional-ms perfect and a mere object of affection who only exist just "because she is one of the zodiac". (For the record,I don't hate Pacifica I just find her overrrated).
