Oh my. Lovely lawn ornament. The snakes are getting ready to move in as I type. I was thinking of you today, as I looked out at the springlike weather we are having here. The day before Xmas, and we are wandering around in sandals. Merry Xmas to you all from Scarborough Ontario. Kiss the joeys for me.
I thought you'd lost your damned mind there for a moment.\!! Nice pyramid and good homestead marker!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and the Sarah!!!!!
+Ahman Millener Hi Ahman, I enjoyed this episode though it was a lot of hard work moving and collecting that much rock. I am glad I was not around when Pharaoh was recruiting for his building program. Cheers Paul
A good way to use some of the stones / rocks on the land. Wind and rain in Scotland (just for a change)!! All the best for the new year Paul to you and yours.
+Tom Palmer Great idea, I am going to order some granite seeds to make a new office. I don't think they should take to long to sprout into walls. I am going to pay extra for the window forming rocks. :-)
cool pyramid Paul so when do the two Sphinx`s join it, be interesting to see you build them the same way. maybe one by the herb hut to stop the cow`s with some luck he he.
So you made a rock pile.....or a Cairn. So this could just be an elaborate mind game, but that was a lot of work. I will go with feng shui or GPS marker.
+Duane C (there might be a marker nearby that I have not let slip on camera). Or I was fed up of having to feed the string on my whippersnipper and put all the rocks in one place, thereby guaranteeing my front row seat in the afterlife and buying less plastic weedwacker cord..
never know what to expect from you paul lol merry christmas buddy to you and your family may his spirit carry you through the next year and the following years to come my friend god bless
+tempjohn1111 Hi, it took a while to find someone to help answer you question. A local told me it was siltstone and sandstone. I had never heard of siltstone. There is a fair bit of shale that we had dug out out the ground for the road building that was pushed to the side of the road. I collected everything lying around. I fact I am part way through a second pyramid. This one will evolve rather me running around determined to finish it. Cheers Paul
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and Sarah mate all the best for 2016 !! I thought it was going to be a sun dial for a minute, maybe a carn for a time capsule !! Just watch out the weight of the rocks settling don't smash the glass bottle. Seeya Rob
amazing what the giza crew did without smart phones. be careful playing with the pyramids paul, you might wake one night to find the alien mothership parked just above the shipping container palace. "no, no, it was all just a huge mistake", might not get you very far. cheers. Merry Christmas
+O-nek DJ in the DR! I heard that there is an old well understood rule that everyone who has a pyramid is guaranteed a place in heaven with lots of toys. :-)
+Paul Chambers oh gotcha! good looking pyramid! www.jw.org/en/publications/books/good-news-from-god/what-hope-for-the-dead/#?insight[search_id]=98e3113d-60bc-43f8-93db-90597dc0e038&insight[search_result_index]=8 hey I really enjoy your videos, I plan on making myself a home, using a container! or two jajaja (here in the Dominican Republic)
+69troyjan You may have missed the caption, as the jar went in it was labeled time capsule. Mid build we added a time capsule with trinkets and keepsakes, and a memory stick with the videos and ebooks. It was a last minute idea and completed in less than ten minutes. Nothing very profound. Of all the things I am ever likely to build in my lifetime this pyramid is probably going to survive the longest. I doubt if it will be moved and it it only ever likely to grow with visitors making the pile higher. I like sculpture although my priorities have not permitted it up to now. I needed to clear the rocks on the top of the ground as it was costing me a fortune on whippersnipper string (weed whacker). The pyramid cleared the rocks, made a sculpture and made a fun day or two. (hard work though). Regards to Vancouver, I have fond memories, I used to ski at Whistler. Cheers Paul
u have way too much time to spare now your dwelling is complete....... I have a shipping container house to build if you are looking for something to do.........your new garden feature will give the neighbours something (else) to talk about though. Merry Christmas.
hey mate looks like that going to be a solar water pump there soon to run water from the dam and run down some plants and more rocks i bet the dam be real clear next year .well that what i be doing with it. we soon see what your doing with it maybe ?
+Amila Hansen I suspect they might though I have not tried compacting sawdust yet. We add the ash to the soil to build up material though it has very little mass. Not sure I would be able to have wee scented logs in the house for burning :-) Citrus likes urine and it seems like a great use. Banana trees also.
+Paul Chambers great so so OK I'll try it but I'm a year away probably before doing my first log. I'm just thinking shavings could also be used for burning once dried and diluted? lemons and bananas the for that 😁
