Interesting new mechanic, but the research requirements for certain things are crazy, for example, why in the world does a gas stove require radbolt research?! Although there is some radiation coming in from daylight to use for that...
I'm quite new to the spaced out DLC so I wonder, does this replace the teleporter or are teleporters not on every planetoid so that this launcher helps?
In current map seeds teleporters exist only on starting planet and on planetoid four spaces from it. Crude oil is on that second planetoid. With Terra cluster you get two cold steam geysers on starting planet. With swamp cluster you get cold slush vents. Starting planet is larger than others. With DLC you can play only two different survival scenarios. Terra with Algae/Electrolysis or Swamp with Polluted dirt and polluted water or brine that you have to heat up. Third planetoid spawns two spaces from starting planet and tends to be arboria type with uranium further down. Other further planetoids go into ridicular like +75C slimelung fest, water planet, planet covered with abysalite that rover can't dig and so forth. There is no way to colonize those planets without losing dupes on them to setup survival infra. Electricity generation is no brainer after getting enough atomic points to get to solar power. Haven't got a single map seed so far where I needed hydrogen or natural gas geysers or ethanol/petroleum power plants. Not so much variety as in base game.
Hmmm radiation....what if u can use The bees similar to the shine bugs? Is it possible to make a radiation reactor and use those radiation collectors to send high concentrated amounts of radiation to the place u want?
I'd love to play this game again. but it has been extremely buggy lately. Have had to completely reinstall the game twice now just for it to launch without crashing. I have over 500 hours on it so far.

Yeah shine bug reactor will have a brand new meaning and become a lot more usefull with that kind of mechanic. I also hope they will add a new shine bug type that specialize in radiation
I wish they added advanced controls for what to send through these shipping devices, like "ship exactly 200kg of this", and when 200kg sent, it doesn't ask for more, otherwise you just forget and end up shipping all your refined metal to another asteroid.
Well Brothgar the choice of waiting for Updates is not the wrong way. Felt it myself. But honestly i played one update and waited for 4 Releases in the RC branch. Just not to get out of touch with it and learning the new mechanics. Also i build my first Lavacore Tammer. No Incapacitated Crispy dupes created during the build. 3,825 kW - 800W for the turbine cooling on average. So a net Gain of ~3kW
What's the secret? How do you do it? I've been playing this since it came out in EA and my base always goes to sh*it in 40-80 cycles. And I can never get it to the heavily advanced stuff without something going horribly wrong. What is this sorcery?? XD I'm also OCD and my base always has to be built in a particular way so that doesnt help...
Since the DLC came out, my game crashes every time I click on the game type (survival/no swert) when I try to launch a new game or when I hat the "Load" button. Has anyone experienced this too or knows a solution? (Yes, I reinstalled it and checked the files several times by now)
disable all mods and go to Documents then Klei then OxygenNotIncluded then save_files and see your saves that is on your computer or go to cloud_save_files in order to see online ones before going to save files then duplicate it all and put it in a safe spot and see if one of your saves are broken
Oh, klei, I have not the dlc and my vanilla game also crash each time when I try launch it. I think that happens because I took part in closed alpha of the dlc. Now I need reinstall windows or deep clear registry or something else, but thats too lazy.
@@kristophia7310 I've already deleted them all. Still crashing And yes, I took part in the alpha too and since it ended, I can't play the game anymore...
@@antares8826 on steam go to the game go to settings then property's and verify integrity while online and check betas because those create problems like mods
