Just wanted to say that Nate’s RU-vid channel doesn’t stop bringing the Gnar! This dude has been charging for like 2 years straight. Seems like every week he is half way around the world from the prior week surfing another monster wave in an isolated locale. No other surf channel is coming close to delivering as much hardcore diehard big wave content as Nate. Nate winning surfer of the year was so deserved and honestly I think he deserves it again. Love those pre glow sunrises. Those were probably altocumulus clouds lighting up before the sun rises. It's just pure magic!! I've been a professional photographer and cinematographer and I love to photograph magic hour sunrises and sunsets. Greatest way to start your day!!!

I was there a couple weeks ago, during the first swell. The wave is so difficult to even read. I sat there watching for a couple hours and still couldn't figure it out. There was massive looking waves that ended up being junky inside ones. There were perfect looking bowl ones that ended up clamping. And there were ones I thought weren't doable that ended up being the waves of the day. This has got to be one of the most technically difficult big waves in the world, and it's pretty insane to get even one good one. Incidentally I'm in Margaret River right now, I saw John surf his first heat. It sucks that it's so small right now, but still cool to see him surf.

I freakin love your channel man. It’s one of the few that makes me feel like I’m actually along for the ride. The session was nowhere near the biggest or gnarliest Shippies, but there is NEVER an easy Shippies. My jaw literally dropped on multiple occasions when you popped out the end of the wave.

Aussie sunrises are something else. Walking the baby and dog at 5:30 in the morning in Bris and Melbourne brings back good memories.

Just watched 2 hours live of WSL west oz…..then slater retired. Changed channel… Then watched Nathan for 2 minutes charging real surf and getting pinned to bottom 2x……then I rewound slowed paused and admired. WSL to my soul value = zero Nathan to cello at shipsterns value = priceless
