at a recent simcha in Brooklyn NY The Shira Choir Performed a warm Kumzitz here u have a short glimpse of doing some songs of the new Rechnitz Album SHIR Music by: Pinny Ostreicher
I am a UK Christian watching this on a Friday Evening. It moved me very much, God Bless Israel and all My Jewish and Christian, Brothers and Sisters, through out the World.🇬🇧🙏✝️🇮🇱🔯
My god what hauntingly beautiful music there is an orra around the Jewish people a positive energy and a beautiful culture of which I've been a part of for 20 years
Your singing reminds me of when I was a girl. We would go to the rabbi’s house after Shabbat Torah reading for lunch and after eating we would sit and sing at the table for an hour or more. Your voices are true, beautiful and gave memories matokim.❤
I´m a catholic man from Guadalajara, México. I love your music, the armony is perfect. Blessings for your country and your culture. Thanks for share this magnificent performance. For music there are no borders, beliefs or races. Humanity needs more music!!!
@@waxkopp If you are involved in The Roman Catholic Church then you need to repent from Roman Catholicism. Roman Catholicism is Idolatry. Netherlands needs to repent from Idolatry. I have experienced the hatred people in The Netherlands have for Christian and Confrontational Street Preachers/Evangelists. Awake to righteousness and sin not. ''Jews'' who are rejecting and denying The Christ/The Messiah are not right and neither are they good people, and therefore they need to repent and cease from their sins and put their Faith on the Lord Jesus Christ,
Firsy: The catholics i have experienced ate totally the opposite you describe. They work together with other churches and mosqes for the good. Second: You know if you judge people, God will judge you.
May we all watch you sing at the Beit HaMikdash soon in our lifetimes Amen!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Amazing amazing voices singing to the One who opened our lips
How I wish there were an English translation of this beautiful music on the screen. I feel closer to God for having heard these singers. Thank you gentlemen.
Am Israel Chai, may the nation of Israel be blessed. The music of these men is incredibly profound and heartfelt and touches the heartstrings of all. Peace upon all the world ✡☮🕊❤
Rechnitz is in Austria on the Hungarian border. You live there? P.S.: Ostreicher, the name of the guy responsable for the music, actually means Austrian.
I visited a synagogue in or near Tbilisi in 1975 with my grandfather. It was a long time ago and I was only 18 at the time, but it was a beautiful and spiritual temple. The Rabbi was so happy abd surprised to see Americans back then. I will never forget it. ✡️
These singers sing and my Soul is like in heaven. The songs are melancholicly tender. I feel there the journey of humanity that has experienced a lot of suffering.
A little history lesson for your grief. Jews (Bani Israel in in Hebrew & Arabic) was indeed a favorite nation of ALMIGHTY God Allah. But they transgressed against God, killed many Prophets and messengers of Allah. But God said unto them that if you still want to be my favorite then you have to embrace Islam and Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him as last Prophet otherwise my wrath will be falling upon you forever.

I’m absolutely blown away watching & listening to such beautiful music. It means nothing that I don’t understand the language. I am aware that the words are for peace. Such wonderful voices. Thank you for the privilege of sharing this video(🇬🇧)
Their voices are beautiful Such wonderful harmony. I was just flicking around RU-vid and found this amazing choir of musically gifted young men. I haven't a clue what it's about, but as I type here I am replaying it Thank you gentlemen. 👌 ....and I'm Agnostic.
Quel beau chant.... je ne comprends pas les paroles, pourtant j’aime vous écoutez en boucle avec mes écouteurs dans les oreilles. Ce chant m’apaise et me donne une paix intérieur. Vous êtes tous très doués. 👍👌
I have no idea what these men are singing about but it is so beautiful... it feels Holy. The most amazing 10:52 I have ever sat through. Thank you RU-vid for slipping this into my recommendations 🙏
Diese Männer singen von einem Massaker in einer Stadt in Österreich. In Rechnitz. Dort wurden 1945 ca. 200 Juden ermordet in einem Endphaseverbrechen der Nazis und Einwohner dieser Stadt.
You boys are tight. The hardest thing we ever learned in choir, madrigal, or any other small group setting was to listen to each other and continuously match your sound to the others... I think you've all done pretty well in that regard! Thanks for the blessing of listening to you.
Until 4:22 is the beautiful song "Shomer Yisrael", from the album "SHIR" composed by Schlomo Yehuda Rechnitz. It is based on the prayer: Guardian of Israel, watch over the remnant of Israel, and let not Israel perish, who proclaim, "Hear, O Israel." It is followed by another excerpt that says: "May it be Your will, You who hears the voice of weeping to store our tears in Your flask and save us from all cruel decrees for to You alone are our eyes turned." These are Ashkenazi transliterations with the corresponding translation as best as I could within my limitations: Shoimeyr, shoimeyr, yisrö'eyl (Guardian, guard Israel), sh’mor, she'eyriys, yisrö'eyl (watch over the remnant of Israel), ve'al ve'al (and, and) yovad yisrö'eyl (and let not Israel perish), hö'omeriym, sh’ma’ yisrö'eyl (who proclaim “Hear, O Israel”). / Shoimeyr shoimeyr shoimeyr yisrö'eyl (Guardian, guard Israel), shemor she'eyriys ‘am yisrö'eyl (watch over the remnant of the Israel nation), ve'al ve'al (and, and) yovad yisrö'eyl (let not the Israel nation perish), hö'omeriym hö'omeriym sh’ma yisrö'eyl (who proclaim, who proclaim “Hear, O Israel.”). // Yehiy rötzon milleföneychö, shomeya' kol bichyos (May it be Your will, You who hears the voice of weeping), shettösiym dim'oseynu benodechö lihyos (to store our tears in Your flask), vesatziyleynu, vesatziyleynu, mikköl gezeyros ‘achzöriyyos (and save us from all cruel decrees), kiy lechö ‘eyneynu teluyos (for to You alone are our eyes turned). // miy she'ömar le'olömo day (Whoever said enough to his world), yomar letzöroseynu day (Will say to our troubles enough). // ‘n rchvm vrchmych hrvym (Please have mercy on your many mercies) / vs'rv lfnych ‘syrsnv (And intervene before you our petition) / hshv shchynsch ltzyvn ‘yrch (Return your neighborhood to mark your city) / vsdr h'vvdh lyrvshlym (And the order of work for Jerusalem) / ‘l hn'r hzh hsfllsy (I prayed to this boy).

What an incredibly beautiful song. It makes my heart cry. The tune is beyond amazing. I wish I knew the lyrics in English. Beautiful choir and beautiful music. Thank you.
Although I unfortunately don’t understand a word, this songs calms my heart and gives me strength in the current lockdown. I have a great need, learning Hebrew, to understand the meaning. Thank you for sharing your music. Shalom from Germany.

Beautiful. Men singing from the heart. If only all men sing praises to the world as an inspiration blessing. If only men would sing and not war the earth could be paradise in God's kingdom. May it be so some day. May men be brothers, and women be sisters and children be allowed to be children. Continue to sing and inspire, and maybe someday all hearts will be healed and we can have peace. May God's love continue to bless and keep all of you, and may you continue to prove the love of God to mankind by your music.
I belong to a Reform kehilla in the Netherlands. With Pesach our rabbi played us a video of the Shira Choir singing Rechnitz. I never got over it - I play them every night before turning in.
I’m an agnostic from a Christian background but I love this choir and this song. I listen to it multiple times a week. This choir is extremely talented and they harmonize beautifully. 🎶🇮🇱
