Where can I get that thumb sleeve cradle device you slipped on?

You'd have to buy a Calder Pips Grip

Very beautiful bass bone! My dream to have either a Trubore Shires or a Shires/Edwards frankenbone, found a few pieces but nothing in yet. I love your channel and your playing! Also what would be your recommendation for linkages? String, miniball, or german style? Which would you prefer?

I have a set of trubore valves if you're looking.

Howdy! Honestly, any linkage can be fine as long as it's designed and set up well. I've good examples of pretty much everything, and bad examples of pretty much everything too.

Here's a mnemonic device to help me remember: B is for: "Big! ...wait, is B the big one?" And C is for: "crap, I forgot again" I get them mixed up too...

What are your thoughts on the trubores vs hagmanns on bass trombones? Are they similar in any way? I have trubores right now but I dont like how unchanging they are in the louder dynamics. I really agree on what you said in a previous video about how getting louder on trubores is like turning up a volume dial, whereas I would ideally like to get broader and wider to keep the bass bone quality. I'm not the biggest fan of axials and how their slots work, even though I love the broadness I can get on them. I was wondering if hagmanns are somewhere in the middle ground of the two.

Hagmanns are definitely better in most ways, imo. That isn't a factory Shires option though. I find Shires rotors to be a nice middle ground.

I love my Shires Truebore bass and agree with you about the sound. (I’ve never liked axials.) I am curious about that hand grip. What kind is that? I’m finally seeing the need for one.

This one is a Sheridan Brass Get-A-Grip!
