Thanks for addressing the 'bigger kings' in a kind and straightforward manner. We are all different sizes and still want to look good. Love your videos, very informative. THANK YOU !!
And there r queens that love them a bigger king. I have some girlfriends that have husbands that they appreciate and find their men hot with a little bit of cozy warmth. The best hugs. Every cat and baby wants to cuddle with them. Ever seen a bigger king with a tiny baby in his arms? A thing of beauty.
@@MindOfRohan wear a crop top then, i think w the outfits of mine i am thinking of it looks good w a high waist n skintight top/leotard as well as any crop shirt, if the waist is super high, higher than the crop tucking should be okay then but i agree if the shirt looks messy it is gonna look messy regardless so not all tops will work
This is the first video i’ve ever seen that addresses the whole being uncomfortable with tucking in shirts because of your weight and it’s amazing to see. no one ever takes it into consideration and i truly feel so happy.
My immediate thought when he said tucking in was "But my giant tummy will show!" He floored me adding that next bit, I've never even considered only tucking in the back
For sure. I’m not even super overweight but I have enough of a belly to not want to rock the tuck which everyone says is a requirement for correct proportions.
I teared up when you said "the bigger kings", that's my son and that just made know what an amazing man you are, your momma did so good raising you! Thank you so much
@@vincentgrammI'm sorry? What kind of useless and hurtful comment is this? In what world is 'just don't be fat' (or have stomach in this case) valid and helpful advice? Not everything looks better on someone who's fit, people still have different body shapes and not all clothes are specifically designed for slim people (and even if they are). Having an opinion about something is fine, hurting people with it and presenting it as a fact isn't. Saying that you like specific clothes on specific bodies is fine, everyone gas things they like/don't like, but you're basically implying people are morally failing for not being able to be a specific way
@@zioxei ah yes you're completely right, the most useful advice of 'just don't be'. I think you just solved all problems in the world with this insightful comment 🥰. Cancer has been eradicated with a proper 'just don't be ill', hunger with a 'just don't be poor' or even better 'just don't use energy'. How can we thank you for this miracle work, a statue and all the Nobel prizes wouldn't be enough
@@GreatTaiwan obese is not the same as fat and 'everything looks indeed better if' is an opinion not a fact (I know it can be hard to differentiate between them sometimes, but you'll get there). I'm sure I have a lot of issues, but not something related to this.
I've been noticing this for quite some time now. Female influencers call their audience "queens". Now I'm not judging or anything but maybe it has something to do with his gender preference?
@@abankitb8 he’s straight. I just think it’s something that you pick up since it’s so pervasive online. Me and my friends use king and queen all the time
Not only do you give great advice that can be applied to people of different shapes and sizes, you are also very kind and respectful in your approach. Even though I’m a woman, I still enjoy watching your videos. I especially love that you’re not afraid of color!
I think it depends on the height of the person and their body proportions. If you have a short torso and longer legs the long top sticking out can work.
I’ve got long body and long legs, I feel like I look out of proportion no matter what I wear. Now I just wear whatever’s warm/comfy enough. Given up on being presentable
I like the idea of the back tuck- still gives the outfit a really “clean”, polished appearance while still retaining aspects of the clothing’s original structure.
@@vincentgramm taking comfort and being comfortable staying fat aren't the same. If you must know, I am in the process of shedding my weight, but that doesn't mean I can't take comfort in someone including people like us in something we like. Insensitive much.
@@ivanttulern.1416 dont need to explain yourself to this guy or anyone else he can mind his own business whys he worried about other men's bodies? Insecure much? Keep being you you're awesome how you are.
@@simberly7797 thank you. ❤️ Initially I wasn't gonna reply. The reply is to prevent anyone my size from looking at this exchange and feeling bad about themselves.
Dude this is so encouraging. I'm about 360 or so rn and its been really discouraging trying to wear clothes. It feels like anything makes me uncomfortable. But this was really helpful, and plus I've already lost 20 lbs this year and hoping for more.
Im a 70 yr old gal. An outdoorsy gardener & former competitive bodybuilder from the 80's. Ive been applying a bit of your fashion sense to my casual 'diggin in the dirt' style. Surprisingly girls young enough to be granddaughters have been giving me compliments on my 'fun relaxed vibe' . Thanks for the inspiration! Love your attitude. And ya, Im the gal that is begging YOU for some NANTUCKET PiNK stylin' !
This kinda relates to a similar question of how much do you want your base layer showing out through a sweater, especially a baggier one? Misaligning necklines on base layers and sweaters always annoys me but I’m not sure if it’s something to avoid all the time.
kinda depends on what style you're going for, I think it can look pretty good with a softer, more casual style, like an oversized shirt underneath a vest or a cardigan, or if you're going for more of a streetwear look. It doesn't really work with the classic menswear look that he's got going on in this video
A tip from a seasonal big guy, I tend to loose and gain weight based on the seasons, is to place pant waist band at or slightly above belly. Particularly during fall and winter I tend to wear boots/high tops so not only does it help with mid section but also helps raise your inseam showing off more of the shoes. Edit: forgot to mention this is with shirt tucked in as placing pants inch or two above hip eliminates “muffin top”.
100% agreed on keeping the waist band high, as just a larger lad in general. Wearing shorter button-ups is also a strong play, as is wearing longer jackets. Crop jackets or vests that end at the waist just don't work for my current size, they make me look like a pear, even though my chest is actually larger around than my waist.
Love hearing healthily masculine men use 'kings' like women get to use queens! Now we just gotta get the nb's using 'majesty' or 'monarch' or something and the supportive trifecta will be complete!
I just look at my front and went to church with my shirt hanging in my butt below my upper wear🤦♂. My sister told me as i reach home. I look soooo messy from the back 😂
in my opinion, the back tuck looks FANTASTIC. it's just the right amount of casual to be really appealing, but without the whole shirt showing under the jacket. I didn't expect it as I generally don't like tucked anything for some reason but I can't overstate how much I love it
Thankyou for covering a different body type! My partner is a big guy and he loves your videos. Not all of your style advice works for his physique so it means a lot to hear you offer alternatives.
Dude I’m one that tends to dress down but your channel has really helped on those not so rare as I’d like occasions when I have to dress up. Thank you for clear and concise information
As a big king you turned me on to the back tuck early on (i think ive been calling it a french tuck?) And its been super helpful for my transitioning to more white collar outfits and style. Thank you again
Great vid as usual! I get so much inspiration to try new things from you! I really appreciate the suggestions for bigger guys. Would love to see some full videos of you styling guys with different body types!
Ever since I got dumped after losing my job I went into a deep depression and stopped looking after myself. Now I'm slowly putting myself back together, starting with paying more attention to personal grooming. Your channel is a god send. Thank you man, you helped more people than you realize.
Nice job 👍,,I like the way u suggest, something for everyone. Can you tell us how to get dressed for winters,, especially what goes with heavy jackets, formal look as well as evening look.
I needed it SO MUCH. My everyday wear right now is a shirt with a denim jacket while wearing casual sneakers or western boots. My girlfriend tells me all the time to wear whatever I want - but deep down I'm always second guessing myself and how I perceive myself whenever we go out. There's an age difference (I'm the younger one) and I don't want to look like my age a lot of the time. I also inspire myself from videos like yours and others. Could I just FaceTime you whenever I'm trying to figure out what to wear? 😂
Depends on a lot of things though..body proportions, the look/aesthetic that you're going for, the type of fabric, and its texture, the silhoutte, how you accessorize etc.
Would love to see you collab with some heftier mens fashion channels (mainly because i dont see many) and show how different body types can style the same outfit.
I completely concur with you my friend, I’ve never liked that look and probably never will for the same reasons you mentioned, however that’s just my opinion, love your content.
