Thumbsup if you ended up here due to 'Veera Raaja Veera' song from Ponniyin Selvan 2 (PS2). What a gem of a composition this from Gundecha Brothers! Hats off to the legends!
when i first heard veera raaja veera i thought to myself that this composition just cannot come to a being without any divine blessing and a couple months later I was directed here through a reel that talked about that where it was inspired from. amazing dhrupad composition!
Michael Riewendt Music is so subjective 😊 you like it as relaxing music but I will be dancing on this song! lots of love from India ♥️ 🙏Har Har Mahadev🙏
@alluvialsoil You sum this up nicely. Two years ago we were lucky enough to have them give a concert here in Minnesota. They closed the evening with this piece-nothing, not even this excellent recording- can covey the incredible power of this music in person.
The very name of shiva will carry us over these difficult times if covid.iwas infected a month back. This chant of lord mahadeva helped me to recover peacefully .har har mahaadeva shambho shankara ,paahimaam parameswara.
So devine...🙏 Veera Raja Veera seems exact copy of this.. Though I thank ARR for recreating it so awesome, he should have sought the permission of this stuti copyright owners..
Recreating or plagiarising it without any attribute to the original… Taking a beautiful and divine Stuti and then reusing it for commercial purposes is legit misuse in my eyes!
It is sheer blasphemy to credit AR Rehman for "Recognizinzing" this timeless composition and Gundecha Brothers were Dhrupad Singers par-excellence, ably taught by the Great Dagars. AR Rehman is a good music composer but he pales before these Music Giants.
@@nagendrabhatnagar Sir, may be we don't know about music. We only wanted to say...bcos of Rahman sir's Veera Raja Veera... We reached towards this composition.. and we thanked him.. Nothing more to say. Shiva Shiva is no doubt wonderful composition... We were unaware about this. So we thanked A r Rahman sir. That was his composition led us path towards Shiva Song...
For starters....this is composed by Dagar Brothers....and there was no prior consent taken from the current generation of Dagarvani Artist for copying ...there is no question about acknowledgement here...its infringement of moral and legal copyright
@@nagendrabhatnagar Then what about this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-59fzA3Ipn-E.html Did Pt. Uday also copy from dagar brothers? Or all these based on some traditional composition?
@@vinodindukuri6896 In classical music, whether be Dhrupad or Khayal, there are specific Compositions - Bandishes, which are used by Performers since time immemorial - there is no concept of Copy Right. Every Raga has specific Swaras and it chalan (loosely translated as movement), so that each Raga will sound similar, genius lies in the improvisation by each performing artist. Uday ji is a doyen of our music and his performances are divine. I repeat, this copyright business is a very western concept and our classical music does not have this concept, for that matter even Western Classical music does not have this concept. Veera Raja song is beautiful and based on Raga Adana. There is no question of AR Rehman infringing any copyright. If you have anyother query, please feel free to ask.
Just yesterday I heard this soul touching Shiva chanting for the first time since then the divine voices are healing my soul so much... Feeling energetic and happy on hearing this song again & again... Just noticed this has been uploaded ten years ago... My pranams to the singers
If you say only the first two lines match, then i’m sure, you don’t know anything about music. Veera raja veera sounded so powerful and had a divine presence in the composition in itself and thus I googled if it’s an original composition or adaptation. And thus, my instinct was right.
This gives me intoxicating vibes ❤jai shambho ❤ most of the comments are because of PS2 the irony is I am watching PS1 right now and this video came on my newsfeed but I never heard this melody before! Mahadev's grace ❤
