They realised there mistakes under Shivaji Maharaj and fought for the same glory as Vijaynagara did... Shivaji maharaj throughts were clear.. If that is so that Yavan and Turks came into this land as invaders, why did the same people forgot this truth when they were fighting their neighborhood for British. Allied with British to take out neighboring rulers only to be eliminated by the British themselves. Disunity gives opportunity to invaders. When a country is strong or has strong rulers, invaders are swept away like garbage or they abstain.

i call myself history lover but facts of shahaji raje told here are new to me (always knew shahaji raje was subject of deeper study but ) our focus is always shivaji sambhaji bajirao panipat mahadaji so earlier history is always gets sidelined. i wish u really make shahajiraje detailed focused vdo as u already said in other comment

Although talikota was disaster for vijaynagara but soon within twenty year the empire rose Again under the venkatpati Raya with new capital, but just like Maratha resurrection The Bounce Back Of Vijayanagar Empire Ended With The Death Of Venkatpati Raya in 1614.
