20:46 I realized to get the sandslash to come out, you need to throw an Illumina orb at the ground where the sandslash is, not the sandslash itself. Then do the apple lure. To get the big roar on avalugg in the last segment, you need to have the apples land on his back/top. Just in case someone is struggling with this part.

I discovered for the 4-star Sandslash photo, you don't need to scan to make them come out. You scan once to see where they are in the snow, then throw an illuminous orb on that spot. Very similar to what you do for minor!

At 43:21, Avalugg mad a "angry face" right after you hit it directly on the top of its head. Maybe that's what causes it to do the 4-star big roar, depending on if you hit it directly on its head.
You startled me completely and toke by surprise in 3:55 with this presentation of merchandise. I wasn't expecting this - like a Spanish Inquisition :) ahahaha
For the Avalugg, you need to hit with an apple on it's back(!) to get the big roar. :D That's what you did different in the last round as well. Great videos, love them! Had quite a few of these missing, thanks a lot for taking the time to record these!

Hey Austin ! When the Mightyene are chasing the Ferett look into the bottom of the ice crack. There are some jinx, hit the crystal bloom and they will make a light back ground so when you take a 4* picture of mightyena it will have extra points

My tip for luring Weavile if the Furrets are a problem in the first course: 1. Go into camera mode and just stare at them. Weavile will actually figure out the first clue on his own and the Furrets will run to the log. 2. Only make a half trail from the 2nd clue to the next one. Weavile is very smart and the Furrets won't register apples beyond a certain point. No need to bring the Furrets with you! 3. Be careful with your timing. Beartic got me stuck and I couldn't double orb the tree and Weavile on the last message. Let Weavile eat the apple if you get stuck, it's better that he doens't get to the last tree before you if you can't make it than he gets there and forces you to redo the course.
I hate to say but there is a way easier 4 star vanilluxe photo. If you get the right jinx to jump down a dance with it. It will puff out a happy snow ring.
I've been spending my recent evenings following your tutorials, going through each request and it's made it a more enjoyable experience ^^ How people would know what to do to complete the requests without following a tutorial, I have no idea XD THIS GAME!
Hey Austin thank you for making this series! I haven't watched every episode as to me a huge part of this game is exploration and I like to try and find the 4 stars myself but some of these I was completely stumped on like Snub and Sandslash so I appreciate you making these guides!
Another cool thing I've found with Abomasnow at night on level 3 when you're about to go down that hill into the cave (on the original course) he's sitting up on the left ... I'd have to play the level again but I think, you can either orb or throw a flufffruit .... whatever, but two of the furrets come out and they're dancing and Abomasnow snow is loving it ... at THAT point- you hit the 2 furretts with fluffruits and they'll get hurt and leave... Abomasnow will get super angry and do an attack at you which is a 4 star photo as well!!
For anyone having trouble with the snom request and don't know how to adjust their contrast (like me lol) try inverting the colors on system settings! It made navigating the blizzard easier for me!
So I watched this back a bunch of times and did a lot of trial and error.. turns out Avalugg isn’t THAT hungry for apples. He enjoys his fair share but it’s key to stop throwing fluffruit once he commits to turning towards you. As long as you toss fruit until he turns you can stop. Seems that continuing to throw interrupts the desired interaction. I just got it to work 3 times in a row to confirm. Love all your walk throughs thank you so much for all the help. Hope this can help others
Another way: stalactites has a T, and if you look at a T it looks like a ceiling with a stalactite hanging down. Stalagmites has an M, which looks like 2 stalagmites rising up from the floor.
I am so thankful for this series. I would never have had the patience to find all the things without these videos lol. I would have thrown my switch out of the window and rage quit by now so thank you for sacrificing your own sanity for the sake of ours lol. 😅
I used to love this level. During my grind to get all stars photos.. I have not liked this level anymore haha. Thank you Austin for being the real hero and grinding out all these videos
About the Scarmory quest, you can also throw an "fluff fruit" into the hole near the end of the lake section. The same place where the ice cream Pokémon (Vaniluxe?) jumps out. This photo also counts for the quest being completed, although Scarmory flies away pretty fast.
The Proud Warrior quest is now working as of July 2021. You head up on top of the cliff where the Furret is being chased by the Mightyena (don't interfere), it'll run into the small cave to the right of the slope where the Swinub runs during the day. Throw Fluffruit to lure out Furret, Braviary will fly down and eat it. Snap a photo where he's eating.

The way you describe these Pokémon’s moves is hilarious 😂 I like the game but wouldn’t consider myself a Pokémon “fan”, so I just call their attacks random crap too lol
For stronger points on Mightyena's 4-star, f you activate the crystalbloom down in the crevice while the Mightyena is chasing the Furret, it will light up the sky for a better background score.
It's been three days and you haven't posted a new video... please don't tell me you've given up because there are a select few of us that NEED you!!! and rely on these wholeheartedly lol
On the avalugg before the Pokémon reach it you have to hit it on top of the head with a fluffruit. I’ve tried it multiple times and that’s the difference I’ve found. You also don’t have to throw a fluffruit at jinx to wake her up you can just play music and she blows a kiss.
A tip: Get a great three star Braviary by orbing the Swinub high up on the cliff on the far right. Orb Braviary. He carries Swinub. And it’s much better than the distant looping thing for 3 star
With the Avalugg Sheer Force; aim for the back of the Avalugg it doesn't work as well. Also, there is a cute Snom/Frosmoth and 1 Pipluptree in Alt1 route. It's on the left side on the back side of the tree. If you look closely, you'll also see a sleeping Glaceon.
You can get that 4 star Frosslass photo when it's by itself in the Snorunt stalactite cave. You gotta wake it up and then orb it and then flute I think...lol
I found another way to get swinub and braviary four star at the end of the course. You will see braviary on a branch on the left, sleeping. Hit it with the fruit. Then quickly look to the right and near the top of the ice cliff there will be a swinub hit him with an orb. If done quickly enough braviary will fly over to it and pick the swinub up. (If not braviary will just fly over the swinub) Take a picture as they fly towards the left. They will land behind a rock and swinub will run to be with the mamoswine in the hotsprings.
I may not have known there were alt routes in this level, BUT I have another 4star furret u didn't mention. At night, in the 2nd area there is a sleeping Abomasnow up left. U wake him, and I believe I orbed/ appled him till furrets showed up. When they are celebrating, furret gives a (very far, back turned) 4 star photo. The Abomasnow is just 3 from what I've seen
Just took me like three hours to get through this course with you lol and I still didn't get a couple of them (like sandslash). But I thank you greatly for your help! I'm hoping the other courses won't be as painful for you.
I also got a 4* snorunt photo from taking a pic of it in the hidden snow den where piplup is sleeping there. Much easier than throwing apples at the rock things
@@lucarudloff687 The one from Shield that says that they communicate using distinctive scratch mark patterns, and the one from Sword that says that they hunt in packs, and a group of them can off a Mamoswine
woohoo i did my avalugg first time, i dont know if it made any difference but i also threw orbs at it amongst all the apples as well as scanning occasionally. also you can get a 4 star piplup at the same time you get vulpix when he crowns the winner. just photograph piplup during that animation. much easier to get a closer photo than the treasure mission.
