I saw the title expecting traditional London pie and mash ,thats a northern version,if I shared this video to a pie n mash group on fb, I'd get lynched 😂 still might share it to upset people 😂😂 on the quiet though that looks ok😊

Hiya Darren, John Lewis. " Never knowingly undersold " The stores moto for many a long year. Loved the bright, spacious restaurant. So clean looking, the serving counter also very clean and neat. ( allowing for the fact it's only just opened. But not withstanding) Good touch, telling customers the cut of beef used in the pie. First glance. A fine looking spread. Nice portion size ( looked much better after the peas & gravy decanted onto the plate. The pie looks like a mass production, not a homemade. But not the look that counts, it's the taste. Mashed potato served like my mum used to. The " minted peas " had the right texture. £12.00 for a good lunch in London, is a bargain Liking the new reviews, fabulous. Allan&Family

Hi Darren, For a long while I’ve been going into department stores for a good value lunch. Alas department stores are fast disappearing from most towns and cities. Oxford Street remains the exception, but even here, there ere less department stores than in my youth. One of the things I like about them, is that you always have plenty of room, not like these small cramped restaurants.

What a nice place! It's very warm & inviting. The food looks absolutely delicious, the best of comfort food. Pie looks really good , not being greedy but a bit more mash would be nice Price was ok but perhaps similar to you would expect to pay in a pub, but the restaurant certainly looked clean .

With John Lewis you get an extra years warranty on computers electrical goods also . I do like JLP but unfortunately they closed the Chester store. Waitrose great supermarket as well. Big fan but didn't like last Christmas ad. Humbug!
