June 4/2022. I used to watch Letterman religiously for 35 years, so it was cool to see Paul Shaffer again. No idea why he was in Vancouver. He still looks and sounds the same. He tipped a $20! Even better, he completely ignored the juggler, and usually it's the other way around. Paul appreciates musicians. I was shocked that he has watched my videos.
The gold painted statues/mimes/jugglers are, to put it VERY mildly, not my favorites. They really don't have any talents other than painting themselves and standing on a box. Yet, they make way more money than I do. Not only do the crowds scream with glee around them while they move a hand after being FROZEN, or juggling...are you ready?... 3 pins, (even I can do that) they often dance off MY PLAYING after setting up near me without permission. This is a ONE SPOT busking area, not a free for all. Usually, I put up with their antics, but I now have to take anti depression medication because of seeing them around me.
