There are many animals in the world. Everyone is free to choose what they would like to eat or not. If you choose dogs as pets doesn't mean everyone has to use them as pets.
I don't agree with eating dogs but I understand why they have to. All that matters in any of killing of an animal is if they kill it quickly and humanely.
@@oldmanmob4659 Killing for survival, if done humanly as you say, can be something understandable in my opinion, but what I seriously dislike is when people kill animals just for a tasty flavour (Which is the main reason why so many animals are killed). I see that as something really selfish and twisted
@Mar Kazain it actually pretty is and chickens are technically supposed to eat meat you’ll see that they’ll start eating each other after a while but most of the time it’ll end up tasting like chicken other animals I mean like crocodile tastes like chicken and a lot of other animals
The actual problem here is that the dog meat trade treats its dogs with utter discontempt and neglect. I wouldn't mind it so much if they were kept fed and relatively happy up until the point of death, but they clearly aren't. We have a duty to respect life, whether we eat it or not.
I hate the type of people who are against people eating dogs but when the same the same thing happens to pigs, cows, and chickens, they aren't against it.

The butcher seems like a nice guy to hang out with. He's just doing this to pay his bills. It's sad but people who eat any kind of meat have no right to judge this man.
To me it’s cuz like dogs have always been our companion and friend throughout the centuries and then there is chickens - like bro all we do is eat them so ofc we eating chickens now and see it as normal compared to eating dogs.

I still don't get why people in the comment sections are appalled. I don't see a difference between eating dogs and eating pigs and chicken. It just sounds like hypocrisy.
Most people would not touch dog meat because dogs are valued as household loving pets. I had no issues eating alligator meat. I had no issues eating bison meat, or Deer meat,. Or lam meat,. Snake fish is delicious. But I ate shark meat once and spit it out nasty taste. Egiptians love camel meat.
Not sure how safe it is using a tire to burn the fur off the dogs is but I’d like to think that the meat becomes contaminated with toxic fumes if only a little

While I do not condone this, to each his/her own. Some people own pet pigs, while they still eat pork, others raise cows and sell their beef commercially, while they also own pet cows.🧐🧐🧐

You are missing the point of this video. He doesn't like his job because its so messy. But he is not surviving on dog meat because of poverty. He simply likes the taste and it has been the culture to eat dogs over there for decades or longer.
@@jadeactuallysucks There are people in India who put cows on a pedestal and worship them. But you never see those people lecturing and harassing other cultures. Why? It's about respect and maturity. A mature adult should be able to accept that different cultures have different norms.

Westerners are acting like humanity is only supposed to be eating cows, pigs and chicken. Back then, we would eat any animal we could get our hands on and didn't kill us when shoved in the mouth.
I live next door to Nigeria in Benin. When I first moved here, I noticed there were zero stray dogs and cats like there were in Kazakhstan where I was living. I asked a Ukrainian lady who has lived in Benin for over 20 years why no stray cats and dogs and she said, “Because people EAT them!” I was taken aback but I wasn’t really that surprised. When I lived in China, dog meat was everywhere…
When i was 6 years old i ate dog meat without know of it. I got made fun of school for it. That doesn't matter when pigs are smarter than dogs and people think its fine to eat pigs.
I do not remember what it tasted like, but it's important to recognize that intelligence is not limited to just pigs. During my time on a farm, I found both chickens and goats surprisingly smart as well. This shows how stupidly selective humans are. Some may argue that dogs are cuter, but have you ever seen a pig that hasn't been injected with growth hormones? Just remember, whenever you are eating meat, something dies, and be thankful that you get to eat meat.
@@wackyruss I remember the most how it had an extremely meaty taste. something like beef deer and mutton all at the same time. As a pig lover, I don't like eating bacon, so if you are a dog eater i understand how it feels too.
In England I am a Close protection Dog Handler I’ve been to Nigeria many times to the point that I now own property and a farm in Nigeria. I don’t have any problems with the cultural practices I have also enjoyed many of the local dishes when in Nigeria I often prefer to eat the local dishes. I have not tried Dog up to now but I would never condemn any person that does as they have the right to eat it or not.

A lesson to learn when a country fails to develop and provide jobs and employment, the people do whatever from which they make their living and this can be harsh for other species other cultures or society.
just watch how they kill pork and beef here in American factories... there is suppose to be a dog meat trade here in america and dog meat is also accepted in some western countries and eaten publicly

The butcher is mad because he has a college degree but could only find work in a messy low skill job. But honestly, there are plenty of people with the same problem in the U.S.

People who eat any kind of meat should not be surprised to see this. Only dog and cat has life? Americans do not eat horse either. Three animal species are precious. Rest are born to be my food is the attitude.
Basenji dogs have an interesting history. They are an ancient African breed that used to hunt in packs. They do not bark like regular dogs. They make a yodelling sound. They are good hunting dogs and make protective family dogs. I am assuming that they are intelligent which makes me wish that the dogs had a better life in Nigeria. 🐈🐈 Sad....

Would be hypocritical to judge when I eat many kinds of animals. The only thing that throws me off is that they're canids. Keep eating them if they're good.
I’m not going to lie, I’d try it. Meat is meat. Look if my wife’s little yap yap yorkie doesn’t stop barking at EVERYTHING I’ll try her little ass out on the dinner plate! Maybe the dog too!
