Shocking Results | GOOLOO GT4000S. Who makes the best battery jumper pack? What jumper pack on the market works best? #farmallfanatic #GOOLOO #jumperpack GOOLOO GT4000S www.amazon.com...
I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago. I have a Honda Civic sitting on the drive for the last 7 years. Battery has been dead a longtime probably 4 years now. I connected the Gooloo to the Civic, the temperature was -2° Celsius. I turned the ignition and the car started immediately. Enough said this device is the best out there.
I usually just take the cables off. Prevents the batteries draining from sitting and corrosion built up. I also tape the ground cable idiot proof myself! That is a handing device and better than hand cranking the tractor for sure!
Great Review, we reviewed the Gooloo GT4000 a while back, we are very pleased with it. I believe the difference with the GT4000 & GT4000S is that the GT4000 has the preheat technology up to -40 degrees & the GT4000S does not have preheat technology in the frigid temps. But either way the Gooloo GT4000S is a great unit. How do you like yours?
@jaylmw08 The GT4000S does not have the preheat technology. The GT4000s will work in as low as -4 f and up to 140F. The GT4000S does not have the preheat technology mechanism that senses when the unit is too cold then heats up with the pre heat technology. The GT4000 does have the preheat technology mechanism that will turn a little snowflake icon on the LCD screen when the unit is in the frigid temps down to -40 F, after around 100 seconds of the unit being hooked up to the battery the snowflake icon should disappear, then you will be able to jump start in frigid weather. Just wanted to clarify that the GT4000S does not have the preheat technology. However, it will work down to -4 F, but that doesn't mean it has preheat technology.
Uh, I'm not going to read the manual because I am such a manly man. I am also going to goof around for several minutes wondering how the product works because I didn't read the manual. Asinine!!
I have one that bought after watching Project Farm a couple of years ago. It’s boosted a lot of things in 2 years and still works great. I bought a NOCO Genius charger last year and once I mastered the learning curve, I now like it
I have a buddy with a body shop and swears by those jump boxes. Everyone it snows he moves up to 20 cars to clear snow. Many need to be jumped , one of those boxes does them all . Thanks for the video 🇺🇸
@FarmallFanatic Of course I did. Fully charged at 100%. Managed only to lit up dashboard but no power to crank the engine, only a little click. Then turned off to reset, boost mode, and same think happened. Tried 3 times and did not work. Called recovery, they use theirs which was bigger and started first time, no issues. Battery was flat. It worked to start my wife's Toyota prius 1.8L petrol but that it is not good enough. I had 2 of them for emergency fully charged in each car and returned both of them.
Bought one and never used it. Doesn't hold a charge after 1 month sitting there. Still under warranty. Contacted support. Even with proif of payment they do everything NOT to honour the warranty....beware...😢😮😮
The battery on my pontoon boat was dead. i couldn't turn over my Mercury 115, gave it a jump with my Gooloo 4000 and it turned right over. Don't leave home without one!!
Excellent video Gino :) also lots those booster packs better than old were made years ago also new ones like 100 amps boost per second and fire up engine like get booster from Tow Truck and plus faster on gas or deisel motor! But drain booster pack completely dead before recharge again for let be complete dead for 30 mins then recharge up pack again just like cellphone battery!
I just got the gt4000s model! From what I can tell the s stands for "supersafe" lithium battery with 10 safety features. Not sure how many yours has or how different; I hope it doesn't take away from performance with all the safety stuff lol
I bought one of these and it left me stranded when I needed it, good thing someone came around with booster cables. Maybe I got a defective unit or these things are junk?
Just got one! 110$ on amazon. Had a cheap one that worked somewhat ok but when it wouldnt jump a smaller size excavator i knew i needed a little gooloo in my life lol
Nice video. I have the gt4000 (not “s”). It has the preheat mode and temp readout, which the “s” model does not have. One tip: If you would have read your owners manual 😮, you would see that charging the unit with the lighter plug will charge it about 20 tomes faster than a standard usb-c cable. Fully charged in about 80 minutes.
We got 3 inches here in Northern Arizona this morning! Nice jumper pak! We use em here often! NAPA’s are heavy as hell and we got a NOCO which is small like yours and then two other I can’t remember the brand! Oh one is a Blue some thing! All work fine!
That internal heater is crucial for getting the Lipo battery up to a temp where the internal resistance is low enough to discharge that "4000A" which I have my doubts about but its still probably well over 1000A if not 2000A
One of the things that really makes me doubt the 4000A peak discharge is the wiring on the jumper cables. Yeah its a very short current but even 8AWG 200C rated silicone is rated for what? 200A max? Yeah thats continuous but its a matter of resistance and even 2 feet of 8AWG will give you a few milliohms...and we're talking about a battery that is less than a milliohm. It should be 0.25mΩ to discharge that much current. (rough guess based on knowing that 280Ah 3.2V LiFeP04 cells are 0.28mΩ per the datasheet and those cells are rated 1C continuous)
I thought you can only crank for 3sec. Then you need to rest. However, you can have 4 x 3sec cranks in 10min. A 3sec crank is not a long duration for a diesel. I would assume that you could crank longer than 3sec but the amperage would drop off down to 500 say for 5sec.
@@FarmallFanatic Yeah, I've tried a couple of them in the past and that one you have is probably better. But the 2 I have don't seem to hold out as long. I decided to just carry an extra battery in each vehicle. It gives me a backup if something happens to the main battery under the hood. Plus with all the electronics under the hood of most cars today I will not use jumper cables to my car or trucks battery, I use the spare. They trickle charge when the vehicle is running. To each their own I guess.
I bet you do only have 3 inches lol . That seems like a decent booster it fired the tractor right over . I like my charger has a recondition mode and seems to work well on dead batteries like that to give them a boost of life . Thanks for sharing !
you keep trying it when it stopped saying ready as you had it connected and kept talking long enough for the ready text to go away and then pressed the boost button , which of course brought the ready sign up again. Could you try it again and try starting the vehicle without boost as soon as it says ready ?
