Those commenters saying you don't understand the storage auction biz have very likely never purchased a storage auction ever in their lives. I will be saying "tazer gun" from now on. As soon as a new video from P & M drops I watch it and I'm never disappointed.
"Shocking Storage Unit Find!" would usually be a click-bait title, but not this time! Maybe Taco Stacks will let you test it on him to see if it works (Just kidding!). You have some saleable items in that pile that should make a decent profit for you. Those green totes themselves should bring $5-10 each at the flea market because of their size and how well they stack. Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas enjoying your houseful of vintage Christmas items that you have accumulated over the years!
I’m sure people will get mad that I used the word shocking, but it’s the truth. It was shocking or could be used to shock! Good thing it wasn’t on when I first found it! I did turn it on after filming but battery must be dead.
@@PaperandMoose "Shocking" was the perfect word to use in the title given what you found. If anyone gets angry, buy some batteries and use the taser on them! (Just kidding again!).
Some great additional finds on this storage lot. Whoever the previous owner of this boxes was, he/she tried to arrange his/her life a little bit stylish. I think the highlights this time were the leather jackets, the Hendrix records (probably reprints) and, not to forget, the taser gun ! 😉 Just use it for your personal protection, if it still works, because you never know whom you might meet at different flea markets during the dark. 😑 Anyways, keep the party going, Renée, hope that you will have a wonderful 3rd Advent with a lot of Christmas preparations ! 🧑🎄Greets from GER, U.
It could come in handy when I want to get to boxes first at the Tote Man’s! Jackets were nice & looked in good condition. Perfect sellers for people that want to have a nice looking jacket & buy it at a flea market price. Funny I found those records & today at an estate sale (future video), I found a box of older vinyl there as well. I do need to study up on vinyl just so I have a bit more awareness of what to look for, besides original printing of Beatles albums, of course! Any more snow in the forecast for you?
@@PaperandMoose Definitely, the taser would be a good "competition tool" on several flea markets. 😅Just kidding, the vinyl renaissance is a big thing over here and, as far as I know, also in the U.S. No white Christmas expected this year, just the usual rainy weather and temperatures around 20/30 degrees F.
That's an Eddie George jersey. He played in college for Ohio State and won the Heisman Trophy in 1995. He played Pro football for the Tennessee Titans and Dallas Cowboys. George was a first-round draft selection (14th overall pick) of the Houston Oilers (now the Tennessee Titans) in the 1996 NFL Draft. George won the NFL Rookie of the Year award in 1996, and was the Oilers/Titans' starting tailback through 2003, never missing a start. He made the Pro Bowl four consecutive years (1997-2000), and assisted the Titans to a championship appearance in Super Bowl XXXIV, where they lost to the St. Louis Rams 23-16. George gained 391 combined rushing and receiving yards in the Titans' three playoff games that year and went on to rush for 95 yards, catching two passes for 35 yards, and score two touchdowns in the Super Bowl. George was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011. He is now the Head coach for Tennessee State University. He may end up in the Pro Hall of Fame. He was great but his career lasted only 9 seasons which hurts his chances.
At least this time there was no mold and gunk!! That “stinky, slimy, moldy” encounter was so so sad.. some of those albums with severe damage were in my collection at one time.
👏I always love your happy, calming spirit. 😁❤ So many people are so cranky over not getting something, but you just giggle it away. Thank you for this great video👍
I watched a British comedy Mrs Browns boys. Mrs Brown accidentally answered the phone and picked up a Taser it was hilarious. So I'm picturing you with that Taser and just rolling with laughter. Have Taco stacks check it out for you. Great video love you girl!!
No I have been doing this for 5 years, you have the people who have nothing trash units that they paid to keep or a couple from husbands their wifes left I still have her wedding dress, he made a lot of money and it distroyed him, another one divorced and died alone years later. the married couple the kids left everything after they died. then the drug units you see their lives spin out of control. Life is not pretty and you see it all in these units.
OMG RENEE 😮😮😮😮 My heart almost popped out of my chest when you opened that box with the Jimi Hendrix albums. I will totally buy those from you, those are exactly what I am giving my grandson for Christmas. Let me know
Agree about how strange it is to store things you intend to part with anyway. I’m sure there are a million stories!! Same with junk mail or old papers!?!?! You seemed to do pretty well for $50 and the video was fun!
When you found that Donna Summer CD, I decided to put on some of her music, then watched the rest of your video. Good background music for you!.....Better keep the taser handy next time for protection, when you strike it big!...on another note, I have a new radio video out today!....A 1931 barn find from Pennsylvania, that was home to a rat! ...also. another Buzz Cinema with a Christmas theme.🎅🎅🎄🎄
Home to a rat?! You really can fix and restore anything! I'm on my way out the door to the post office in a few, so I'll add your video to my weekend post-it note "To Do" list. Have to prepare myself for this new Buzz Cinema short!
Not a bust and not a lottery ticket - a "sustaining" storage auction buy. Like that first leather jacket. Hope it sells well for you . Maybe Gucci makes personal-protection devices to accessorize with their other products. I wonder if you can resell it, keep it - or if you're going to end up turning it in to the police or something. The cable-knit sweater in the 2nd-to-last box (about 10:00) - were you wearing that in your Christmas tree mail day video? I've always liked those cabled / Irish Fisherman sweaters but it never gets cold enough here in NC to wear them. Looks like your $50 will return solid profit - so all's well. Have a great Friday afternoon and weekend!
The sweater from my last mail video was a Calvin Charles brand. No idea on that designer, I got it at one of the Tony cleanouts & thought it would make for a good “around the house sweater”. Oh to be of the age when I now deem a sweater to be good for wearing around the house haha. The brand of the stun/taser is a relatively low-cost brand and can be found on eBay, but I won’t sell it online. My mom would probably say for me to keep it for when I go grocery shopping haha. Hope that you have a great weekend & finish all that Christmas shopping!
Discogs is the place to look up vinyl records, but it can be quite tricky sometimes to work out which version you have. For instance, it lists 68 different versions of that Jimi Hendrix album released on vinyl in the USA, and prices range from a couple of Dollars up to thousands. And the difference between a copy worth $10 and $1000 may be something as small as a misprint on the label, a different font, a different matrix number scratched into the runout groove, a different colour label etc.
I like the fact you are sensible enough to realise that clothes can be washed / recycled and are not just trash (unlike certain other storage hunters who just throw them out).
Hi Renee. Like Ivsaid yesterday. Even just watching Storage Wars on TV is a good thing. I loved Storage Wars a lot. But they find some really bad stuff in those units. Great finds Renee. God Bless you dear. Renee, your going to get your money back no matter what. Take care sweet heart. Love you Feliz Navidad to you and your family. Meery Christmas 🎄🎁. Mari'a. 💙💙💙❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍☃️☃️☃️☃️🧑🎄🧑🎄🧑🎄🧑🎄👻👻👻🎄🎄🎄🎁🎁🎁💖💖💖💖💖💖💖👍👍👍🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Renee, every dollar counts..Joan Rivers clothes are worth money. Records are worth money as well, like you said depends on the year, condition.Good luck! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!💒🌬❄☃️🌟🌲💚
Those records are recent issues - look at the Capitol labelography, or check the deadwax. The identification points would be in Discogs. I don't think the original press was a gatefold, either, and they didn't use heavy cardboard for the jacket.
You are so fun to watch unboxing these - you laugh so often my cheeks get a little sore from smiling and laughing along. I’m glad you’re ahead on your investment. ❤
Yeah to keep something in a closet or under a bed or something and not really wanting to keep them is one thing but to pay to store items that you’re not keeping makes no sense
The phonomark and date were not required on records until 1973. Your first Hendrix album is either older than that, or a reproduction not requiring the date if the original had no phonomark and the rights have passed.
At my last garage sale, I had someone buy all my 'old computer' disks including an incomplete set for microsoft word. He loved that I even had floppy disks! He was a nice young gentelman who liked 'vintage computer' programs and such. He also reused the older 'stuff' as in clears the disk and put new stuff on it. All this to say, that old computer stuff is sellable.
@@camlawn the thing was, I was going to throw them all away but was inspired by these type videos to set them and out and see where it went. Had several people buy my old computer game disks along with the floppy disks.
On his latest storage unit at auction.. I watched Taco’s video of the storage unit you both shared. Does it ever upset you when he finds glass or ceramics and just tosses it back in ? Hearing that “cling “ made me wonder if anything got broken. Just wondering!!
Wow The World at War!! That takes me back many years, first saw it on tv in England as a series and probably the best documented at the time and covered almost every theatre of war. With any records you find, try checking on the thin side of the cover oppsite the opening, usually you should see the catalogue number and they are easily traceble online. Good luck 😊
Well I hope you find real Gucci in one of your auction boxes soon. 💕. And don’t forget on the broken glasses maybe you could sell the arms as replacements???
I am in the middle of sorting out a small storage locker of personal items. I told my friend that there would be little to donate as I had purged before storing it. I was VERY surprised at the amount I was able to purge. Sometimes, we store and forget...that's the problem with storage lockers. And I think sometimes when you see people storing things that make you scratch your head it is maybe because they too forgot it was in there LOL!
That’s very true! Once when cleaning out a unit, I was talking to a woman that had been storing items at the storage facility for over 15 years. She said she couldn’t remember what she even had in the unit in the beginning, but just keeps adding to it or she takes some things out & then fills in the empty space.
Sneaky wordplay on this one Renee. Had me suckered right in hook, line and sinker. Glad you didn’t fiddle around too much ( a la the box cutter )😉 with that zap gun though. Might have been nasty. Feeding the flea market again- some nice clothes though - and hey, can't be snagging gold and treasure all the time, right? Still good fun to watch….
Two things, the box that had clothes to be given away may had been given to the storage unit owner? The tube that had ice tube, seems odd but made me think maybe it carried ice core samples?
I have some original Beatles albums from when I was s kid. But they are probably so scratched and I wrote all over the covers. I don't think anyone would give me a dime for them. If I could find them.
Hello Renee. I’m excited about the taser. I would definitely keep it and keep it charged. You know for those sketchy places . lol. I’m sure you’ve got plenty of work ahead to check the jackets out and see how much there worth . I’m sure you can get a decent price for them. I’ve seen a person on a motorcycle wear one like the red jacket. Not a bad unit . Enjoy your weekend. 🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🥰🥰🥰☕️🫖☕️🫖💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
My luck I’d somehow tase myself! In college I had a “security keychain”. It was a fob & had a pin inside that when pulled out would sound a loud alarm. Well in class one day, I reached into my bag & pulled out what I thought was a pen… Nope! It was the pin to the fob & the alarm started going off in the middle of class! That woke everyone up for sure!
Oh thanks for the info! It’s weird, sometimes on the eBay app you look & can’t find something. When you look on a computer/laptop, there’s lots of the same item you’re looking for. So weird!
