It’s a reason why Floyd is undefeated he preached time and time again if someone beat him it will be on a even playing field that’s on Haney in his team fighting overweight fighters while he’s drained to death 😂 that’s why tank wasn’t going for that shit he’s smart
That's exactly what I said. Devin did what he normally does. It worked just fine, until Ryan hit him. smh He needs to start working on defense. Seems to be the older and bigger he gets, he seems to be less focused on defense, and trying to be a puncher to appease to people. Stick to what you know.
@@AxxinTheSupernovaafter he was rocked you seen him pumping his jab but he abandoned it. Devin fought how he’s been fighting not the way that got him there.
@@welpbuddy4417 I really think it all comes down to him underestimating his ability to absorb Garcia's punches. I think he was thinking of when they were 17, and Ryan wasnt at full strength. Clearly obvious his camp did not take Ryan's hook seriously as an actual threat. Wound up paying for it
@@paulelago9453exactly. Thats why Haney moving up so slow. You getting rocked by dudes that weigh 160-165 at 135. What’s gone happen when he goes to 147 against 180-190 dudes?😂
@@Golden_writes550 lol you must not box. Why would I be talking 30lbs over night? What I said was common sense. Most guys at 135 walk around between 160-170 at the highest. Devin walks around heavier than that. He’s BIGGER than any 135lb guy and he already was getting rocked by Loma and 2 others at 135. Obviously they both rehydrate BUT NOT to what Devin rehydrates to. My whole point in the previous comment was he’ll be slept easily by fighting people that are naturally bigger than him or the SAME size. Which is why I said those 147 guys walk around at that weight because that’s exactly where Devin walks around at he’s moving up slow because he can’t weight bully them how he does 135 and 140. Common sense!!! No one is talking about them weighing in at 147 and overnight they’re back to 185😂
Devin tried to punch with a puncher and a gifted one Haney landing that big shot on Ryan ruined him because it gave him false confidence that he could punch with Ryan Boy dangerous⚠️ 👑 Garcia
I agree 100% people hate to admit when they're wrong! 2 worst game plans I've seen lately. Devin trying to fight Ryan and punch in between punches and Spence trying to bully Crawford stupid smh.
@@jabarigardner8329 I’m a big fan of Ryan man. He a monster, he just don’t look like it and he goes in there and fights and he gifted.. this man charged Tank while dehydrated, maybe not the best move but it shows his character… “A man is how he fights” Cus D’mato Errol thinking he could break a Man like Crawford with his skill level was delusional to me.
I think reason dev lost was mostly his defense getting caught with clean left hooks and his ability to take a shot is iffy Ryan hurt him every time he let his hands go and he couldn’t recover I don’t think him not having power had anything to do with him losing he actually hurt Ryan once
The loss sucks but I think it’s to be expected in a sport. the fans are what’s making it bad tho people act like one loss in boxing means you’re trash or you should retire. Ryan Garcia fans are like nba youngboy fans or Beyoncé fans they start attacking and don’t stop
karma for the Loma robbery! You can't fake a champion eventually truth is exposed, even though Loma already exposed this fraud. The kid was a fabricated champ from day one. KARMA. ALLAH DON'T PROTECT FAKE MUSLIMS AND FAKE CHAMPS
Bozy is right: The Haney's should have made Ryan lose the weight. The short-term problem is that it gave Garcia an advantage. The bigger picture problem is this shit reinforces the act of the "A-side" fighter making up their own rules, and many fans getting used to it and just accepting it. The athletic commissions need to enforce the rules, but sadly, they are likely getting kickbacks from promoters.
So should fighters stop weighing in altogether.. or should Ryan fight guys closer to his size in a higher weight class? Because Tank and Dev have smaller frames.. Ryan is just about as big as the guys at 147-154
@@PrinceInawRakah Ryan needs to be fighting fighters like Alexis Rocha, Speedy Ellis, Tim Tszyu, Erickson Lubin etc. he’s getting older and his grown man strength is rising as if he didn’t already have crazy power to begin. NO fighters should keep weighing in or else the sport would be chaos and there would be more deaths in the sport because there’s weight classes for a reason, and some ppl die fighting fighters in their weight class already now imagine 135lbers fighting 160lbers where the 135lber weighs in at 135 at the weigh in and 160lber weighs in 160, knowing the 135lber at most will rehydrate to 142-145 on fight night whereas the 160lber will rehydrate past light heavyweight
It was but that hook landed but not as effective as it usually is, One thing I did like & notice I think another reason Ryan did that ugly ass shoulder roll with his back turned is bc Dev stab to the body was beginning to find a home
If you watched the Linares fight , you can tell the left hook was available to connect on Devin.. he ran into a left hook that had actual power… Ryan got me paid this weekend 🔥
I'm glad you said that. It wasn't the power alone, it was the speed mostly because he would brace himself for Linares hook but he couldn't even see Ryan's hook at all.. watch em both in slow motion. Devin was just starring at Ryan not throwing
This is why I had picked Garcia to win. Haney was rocked by past his prime Linares. All Garcia had to do was land the hook. Haney had no power to keep a young strong guy off him
Folks forget that Devin Haney was exposed since the Alfredo Santiago fight back in 2019. That was his first exposure, Santiago was landing counters on him everytime 🤣 😂 he came in trying to hug him in survival mode. Santiago laid the blueprint for Gamboa, Linares, Loma and now Garcia!
With the whole weight situation , it is a classic “you reap what you sow”. Devin has been weight bullying people for years dating all the way back to his Gamboa fight and maybe even more then. He finally fought a bigger and stronger man and he got beat badly. Even Regis said Devin blew up to 165 on fight night against him. He was massively bigger than a career 140 guy. I don’t even wanna hear the weight excuses. Guys have fought dudes over the agreed weight. They took the fight and the money. Devin lost
It’s not a A devin thing. And how can you say for years. He’s only 25 years old. He’s been weight bullying when he was a teenager really. All fighters come down and wait. It’s pretty normal. Especially in the higher weight classes.
Lol. Devin finally fought somebody his size, and you saw what happened. Honestly, they shouldn't say anything about weight at all, Devin is ALWAYS the "weight bully." Not this time. He got trolled, and his a$$ whooped!
Dev lost for two reasons. 1. Ryan was much bigger and therefore stronger . 2. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, DEVIN DOESNT HAVE ENOUGH POWER TO KEEP SOMEONE WITH MORE POWER OFF OF HIM. SIDENOTE; IF RYAN DID THIS TO DEV. THEN I KNOW TANK REALLY PUT MANY HANDS ON DEVIN IN THE SPARRING
He lost cus his dad is more concerned with being seeing social media than training his son,he on social media than the boxers themselves like he gonna do the fighting
After Dev got knocked down and touched up in the 7th round rest of the fight he was suppose to take that left hook away from Ryan because had perfect timing as well with his left hook
So I think the history played a huge part in the fight 3-3 b4 this fight. Bill wanted more then Dev - so bill wanted dev to brawl- dev never told his dad his hands will be to strong in 8oz he just went with the game playing but dev knew already.
Coach Calvin been telling yall Haney don’t have power and haven’t fought anyone with pop that can move. He did with Ryan and look what happened. Shakur you next, especially if you want to fight in the middle of the ring.
If you can't handle a man with a 3 lb weight difference you can't handle him in a fight outside the ring either which just means you are the weaker man period.
Like Floyd said when he was younger, he said Devin is a good fighter. The one thing we need to work on is him catching shots on the inside he should’ve never left Floyds gym.
Haney has to be very careful with how he goes forward with his career now. He doesn't have power to keep guys honest. he caught Ryan CLEAN with a left hook in the 3rd or 4th round and all it did was piss Ryan off. Haney had success at 135 because he was HUGE for that weight class and had a pretty big size advantage over everyone. Now that he has moved up and fighting guys similar size to him he is going to be in trouble. These killers aren't going to be phased by his punches and he won't have the size advantage to bully people like he's used to. This fight also showed that Haney doesn't know what to do defensively if he can't clinch. Ryan let his hands go a few times in this fight stringing together combinations, and Haney didn't know what to do. If Haney takes another loss like this his career will be pretty much over. He has no power, and he does not have a fan friendly style. His big selling point was his undefeated record and he's just lost it in bad fashion. Another loss like that and nobodies going to care about watching him. I think Haney is very skilled, but he has no power and a suspect chin. that's a bad combo to have
* DEV CAME IN TRYN TO PROVE A POINT GARCIA CAME IN SURVIVAL MODE WAITING ON THE PREY TO SLIP UP & DEV SLIPPED UP IF THEY BOXED AGAIN IT'LL TOTALLY DIFFERENT*
People don't understand Boxing is a science in more ways than one. Ryan didn't try to make weight he let Dev drain himself and get weak, nah 🤣 we are going to get weak together. 🤣 Ryan played them, Derrick James learned that from Errol that's why Bud kept on all long clothes he missed weight that morning 🌄 Errol went on with the fight 😮 You don't have to thank me, he said to Bud because he went on with the fight. See how strong Bud was and weak Errol was just like Dev and Ryan 😮
Devin lost because Ryan played them Ryan knew he was going to come in over weight Devin drained himself Ryan didn't fight night Ryan was 170 Devin was 152
Everybody's an expert after the fact. I promise you that anyone who steps in the ring with Garcia is sweating that left hook. They'll talk like they know how to avoid it all the way up until they catch one and the realization hits home. Haney isn't over rated, he got caught and he was facing a faster opponent which always spells trouble for a counter puncher. Garcia has many flaws, but he can straight up sleep anyone he faces-end of story.
Yall gotta stop this cap that Tank is tiny. LOL Ellerbe admitted he walks around at 180. He rehydrates to massive numbers and yall think he is this tiny man. HE is shorter BUT HE IS THICKER AND WIDER than both Ryan and Haney, which counts for more as far as mass. He weighed more than Ryan on fight night. What a b!tch move! Haney and Ryan rehydrated to virtually the same close numbers, not much difference
Some of you seem blind. The only reasons dev lost is weight drain and eyes not being fast enough to see Ryan’s handspeed he’s still better than Ryan skill wise. Just couldn’t see the phantom punch and Ryan outweighed him
Ryan Garcia took away Haneys jab. How do people not see that? Everytime Deving throws a jab, Garcia times him with the hook! Devin’s like hell no! I’m not throwing my jab no more.
Haney said he didn't care about Ryan weight. The he still will beat him and look the outcome so don't try to use the as an excuse when you have the actual fighter saying he doesn't care how much weight the other fighter weight Haney got destroyed by Garcia, end of discussion.
Devin is fkin nice. I really don’t know how that shit happened. Besides Ryan’s mind games and speed. Devin should win that 7/10 times. Tf wasn’t he jabbing and boxing like usual!?
Made the fight harder than what it should've been tryna fight with his ego and stand in there with a puncher when all he had to do is fight the same way like he did from rds 2-6 when he was winning EASILY after that 1rd scare. 🤦🏾♂️
Nall Devin was fighting scared nervous and Ryan was calm as fuck that's y he lost and not landing no power shots if he would keep hitting Ryan like he caught him on the jaw he woulda been ight
Crazy thing about it is Ryan didn’t look that impressive if you go back and look!!!! Haney just looked awful. Haney really didn’t have nothing for a left hook.
Tell Ryan run it back back. Then we will give him his flowers. I believe Teo is a bigger fight for Ryan but of course he calls out 5ft 3inches Victor Cruz
He lost cause he was trying be something he aint, he trying fight like he was more powerful, if he would jab and smart pressured him with mix combination he would had won
Devin did make adjustments after that left he took in the first, he started to roll. but Garcia made his own adjustment and chopped down with the right hand. Haney was too afraid of the left hook that he tried anticipate it and roll under every time Ryan threw a punch, but Ryan kept hitting him with the chopping right. Ryans speed was too fast for Haney so Haney then had to pick which punch he needed to defend against and he guessed wrong a few times and Ryan smoked him
Devin has the skill set and iq to roll and catch the hook same as tank did. Difference is devin didnt have the power to make Ryan think twice about throwing that hook like tank did
Ok we going to figure this one out together. Since the consensus is that ryan won 5 rounds and devin won 7. Lets do the math. Take a pieace of paper. Right the numbers vertically 1 through 12. These going to be our rounds. Then at the left top garica and at the right top write haney. Dont worry 2 much about what round a fighter actually won, we just need the numbers. For round 1,2,3,4,5 write 10's under garcia. 6 thru 12 write 9's under garcia name. Now under haney name rounds 1,2,3 write 8' by them. Rounds 4 and 5 write 9'a by them. And rounds 6 through 12 write 10's. Add up all the numbers in garcia column. Then once you get the answer subtract 1 from it for the point deduction. Place it at the bottom under ryan name. Then add up all the numbers under haney and place it under haney name. Look at the 2 numbers tell me what u get.
@@MarSo888 Ryan is not his size Ryan walks around 175 sir he’s 5’11 David Benavidez fights at 168 and is 6’0 so let that sink in Haney made weight you can rehydrate as much as you want but you have to make weight, he made against loma, and Regis, so I’m confused on what your trying to say
