After Dev got knocked down and touched up in the 7th round rest of the fight he was suppose to take that left hook away from Ryan because had perfect timing as well with his left hook

Haney has to be very careful with how he goes forward with his career now. He doesn't have power to keep guys honest. he caught Ryan CLEAN with a left hook in the 3rd or 4th round and all it did was piss Ryan off. Haney had success at 135 because he was HUGE for that weight class and had a pretty big size advantage over everyone. Now that he has moved up and fighting guys similar size to him he is going to be in trouble. These killers aren't going to be phased by his punches and he won't have the size advantage to bully people like he's used to. This fight also showed that Haney doesn't know what to do defensively if he can't clinch. Ryan let his hands go a few times in this fight stringing together combinations, and Haney didn't know what to do. If Haney takes another loss like this his career will be pretty much over. He has no power, and he does not have a fan friendly style. His big selling point was his undefeated record and he's just lost it in bad fashion. Another loss like that and nobodies going to care about watching him. I think Haney is very skilled, but he has no power and a suspect chin. that's a bad combo to have

Dev lost for two reasons. 1. Ryan was much bigger and therefore stronger . 2. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, DEVIN DOESNT HAVE ENOUGH POWER TO KEEP SOMEONE WITH MORE POWER OFF OF HIM. SIDENOTE; IF RYAN DID THIS TO DEV. THEN I KNOW TANK REALLY PUT MANY HANDS ON DEVIN IN THE SPARRING

Everybody's an expert after the fact. I promise you that anyone who steps in the ring with Garcia is sweating that left hook. They'll talk like they know how to avoid it all the way up until they catch one and the realization hits home. Haney isn't over rated, he got caught and he was facing a faster opponent which always spells trouble for a counter puncher. Garcia has many flaws, but he can straight up sleep anyone he faces-end of story.

So I think the history played a huge part in the fight 3-3 b4 this fight. Bill wanted more then Dev - so bill wanted dev to brawl- dev never told his dad his hands will be to strong in 8oz he just went with the game playing but dev knew already.

Ryan probably has one of the hardest hitting left hooks in boxing. How could he not prep for it. One of those left hands staggered Tank.

Devin did make adjustments after that left he took in the first, he started to roll. but Garcia made his own adjustment and chopped down with the right hand. Haney was too afraid of the left hook that he tried anticipate it and roll under every time Ryan threw a punch, but Ryan kept hitting him with the chopping right. Ryans speed was too fast for Haney so Haney then had to pick which punch he needed to defend against and he guessed wrong a few times and Ryan smoked him

Dev is a hellava "Damaged" Fighter . His career as an elite fighter is over. His punch resistance will never be the same after getting cracked over the head that many times.

Haney lost because he abandoned everything he does at an elite level to try to punch with a puncher. Im not sure if it’s because he felt the pressure to be a ppv fighter but the number 1 rule of boxing is to make sure you win and worry about everything else after that.
