I do not believe Taylor is lying. I do believe together she and Joe decided to hang onto their privacy, but I don't think what that meant to Taylor was that she would have to literally RUN from paparazzi, hide in her home for years, never be seen in an affectionate moment with Joe, and avoid being seen in public etc. I remember when Joe was asked by a reporter to name his favorite Taylor Swift song, and he refused. I think his behavior revealed time and again a resentment and jealousy associated with Taylor's extreme success, wealth, and popularity. Travis Kelce was asked a similar question when he was asked to name his top 3 favorite Taylor Swift songs. No problem! He named them, and the sky didn't fall, the earth was not pushed off its axis, and there was NO BREACH OF TRUE PRIVACY associated with his relationship with Taylor. Joe's behavior made it appear that he wanted Taylor to hide her fame and success like they were something shameful and also to hide herself from her fans. Taylor and Travis currently keep what needs to be private between just the two of them. At the same time, it appears Taylor wants a NORMAL life, or as normal as it can be. She wants to be able to go to dinner, take a walk in the park, go on a boat ride, and do what other people do in their lives. She understands there will be chaos around her, but she still wants to live her life and have fun. Joe did not want to marry Taylor after more than 6 years. That tells you everything you need to know. For whatever reason, it appears she was just being strung along year after year. The other thing I find peculiar about Joe is he kept even the most mundane information hush-hush when he dated Taylor for over 6 years. She has moved on with Travis, who is someone who celebrates his relationship with Taylor and is proud of her success and accomplishments, and NOW Joe wants to have his say. He is beyond ridiculous. Joe finally has what he always seemed to crave: total privacy and, to a certain degree, anonymity because he is no longer with Taylor, so does not have to "deal" with her fame and, on his own, he never achieved the level of fame associated with an A-lister. I think he should be grateful that he finally got what he wanted and should live the rest of his life enjoying what he always claimed to want. Finally, Joe should be grateful that Taylor allowed him to contribute to two songs as a co-writer and as a producer on a few other songs which left him with a stream of income that will provide well for him in the coming years. The graceful thing for him to do is to just say thank you and move on.

Better suited with Travis, both stars both enjoy the spotlight and know how to handle it.
