Shoenice was food supply in Desert Storm under the MOS 51K. He wasn't involved in combat, but there's no telling what he actually saw. His stories are often unreliable and subject to change. He receives VA benefits, so he was in fact an active soldier. He recalled a story about a scud missile strike in Saudi Arabia that killed numerous US armed forces. It turned out to be true, so who knows? I read that the highest cases of alcoholism among veterans are those in Desert Storm.
