I have a shoe to repair today. The heel is starting to peel away. I have had good luck with Shoe GOO in the past and I am going to try it again.

That stuff has been around forever. Great stuff! I remember as a kid using that because we are poor. You know, a product that's been around since I was a child is great

Yes, I was impressed. When I first bought it I wasn't expecting much, but stuff is holding together years later. I used it to hold the trim on the hard cover on my truck bed. works there, too.

I used shoe goo last night. It reminds me of a product that my grandpa loved called Goop.

@@TheFixitShed It didn't work. I put it on a clamp and let it cure for 3 days. I think the stress from skiing is just too much for it. I bought a new pair boots.

Gonna try it for the first time on my favorite Harley Davidson boots. The sole came completely of of them both. They were very expensive & that was 25 years ago. I'll letcha know how it works. Thanks for the info 😊

The problem is when the tube gets older it gets really hard to squeeze the goo out.

Yes, and there is more in that tube than you will ever use before it becomes impossible to squeeze out.

Keep the cap and neck clean and put a dab of olive oil or whatever on the threads to store it!!!!

Will this work to permanently repair bowling shoes? How do you get rid of the excess glue on shoes and will it stick to fingers? How long does it take to dry before you can use the shoes?

The repair on the boots has held up well over a long period of time and the boots get used quite a bit. I have used it on sneakers and it held up for a little while, but eventually the sneakers came apart. For the sneakers I was glueing the rubber tread to the foam part of the soul. For the boots, I was glueing the rubber soul to the leather of the boot. I would suspect the bowling shoes might be more like the boot repair. I din't really worry about excess on the boots. I tend to focus on function over aesthetics. Once it dries, you could probably cut excess away with a razor (carefully). It sticks to most things, but it comes off of fingers without too much trouble. It says to allow minium 24 hours, but could take as long as 48-72 hrs.

It is going to depend on the material. The repair on these boots has lasted a long time. I did a repair on some sneakers, and it worked initially, but did not last.
