Take one of the old shoe boxes and create a shoe lace tieing practice box. Poke wholes in the lid in pairs and lace the shoe lace through. She can sit any were and practice tieing

Birkenstock shoes were invented in1774 with a footbed shoe made of cork. He was a cobbler and only used cork because of the flexibility it provided, He also developed the foot arch in his shoes. He was not a maker of cork for wine bottles. I was surprised to see Tristan and Max on a Back to School Trip Shopping Trip until I saw Tristan filming Jake. Logan was right - he knew what he wanted and didn't need to shop for his new school shoes.

@@faithmonicca9012 i also love when they donate shoes to foster kids but now that they are doing supplies i feel like thats going to be super helpful to the foster kids because a lot of then cannot afford or be able to get things like supplies and shoes so it is a great thing they are doing

I like everyone's choices of shoes, but the winning choice was Brody's. I like that his are different and really like the colors. I am so glad I do not have that shoe bill. So glad you shared the facts about foster children and shoes. My gal came from another foster home and her shoes were way to big. The foster mom picked them up at the foster care closet but she did not have my gal with and guested on the size. She is now 14 but as a child, her shoes were so small that her toes are deformed and cross over each other.

Great to see their choices. Also glad your supporting the Helens Hope Chest foster charity too. Means a lot being i was an ex care kid. Your back to school shoe shopping is so different than the UK. Were not allowed to wear trainers (what we call them) to school but have them for PE. We have to wear black leather or black patent buckled or lace up shoes eg your church shoes. All our school also have a proper school uniform.

Everyone's shoes looks great! I would love to have the ones brody has. A teacher randomly taught me to tie my shoes when I was about 9, the way she taught me was cross first(like you do) then do 2 loops and tie them like the first tie and you have a bow. I found that way easier than the way most people know 💕

Chrystal there is a way easier way to teach Aurora to tie shoes. Make two bunny ears then tie them normally and you got your shoes tied

Cassidy is like her Mom when it comes to animals and bugs. I think the kids ended up with 11 pairs of shoes. Because Brody got two pairs and the Lizzie size 12 Vans to donate. For next purchases, try Ross and Burlington, specially for the shoes you want to donate, they have brand names/inexpensive shoes. It may be a bit more difficult for your kids since they already have something specific in mind, but may be worth it to try.

I am from the U.K. and in most schools the children wouldn’t be allowed to wear those sorts of shoes we call trainers. They usually have to wear plain black leather or other black leather type shoes.

I had foster kids that only came with the clothes they had on. Luckily my sister-in-law ran a thrift store and I was able to buy clothes and shoes there. Most of her clothes were donated by major companies that needed to move inventory out to bring new line out. Wish stores still did that!

Kohls always has grear buys and you can also earn Kohls cash to shop with later. You should start your shopping trips at Kohls in the future. It is better to do small groups when shopping - taking too many people in the Kohls stores around here is usually hectic. Another shopping trick you might want to try with Kohls is shop online and pickup in store - that way you will know your item is in stock. I also have had them deliver my shopping order and just make sure that I spend the minimum for free shipping. I usually get the package in two days.

When taught my youngest daughter tie her laces it was similar to how Rylan tied his shoes. Two bunny ears and wrap them together.

as a vans employee the shoes that kohls and them sell are our "one offs" so they are still vans but they are our sub style called the "wards" which are our cheaper options that we sell at box retailers like kohls dsw famous footwear etc. so they are technically not the same vans. they look similar but are completely different just has the vans logo on it.

An easier way to tie shoe laces is to do 2 bunny ears, then cross them over to do a basic knot and pull tight

Just an FYI VANS makes a slip on shoe that looks like what they sell in their own stores but is slightly different. I know because a few years ago I got slip on in a blush pink. I tried to get them in a VANS store and the employees told me they were different. They total fit differently too.

As a reminder rack room shoes has a BOGO 50, so if Helen’s Hope chest needs shoes, our company offers this year round and I’ve seen. Store front in your videos before. One of the malls you’ve been to, which probably doesn’t narrow it down 😅

Shoes are so expensive but even brands like Adidas and Nike have “off brand” versions of their own best sellers. Nike has these that look like air forces or dunk lows for kids and young teens but are only about 50 to 60 bucks. Forgot the name but they have a little tag sticking out at the back. I got myself those since I can’t afford the dunks :) Same for Adidas, always had their low cost version as a teen that are close to superstar shape but not actual ones.

Always go with either Shoe Carnival or Kohl's because they are cheaper with their shoes then other stores if your mom has Stride Rite for kids like for Aurora and Scarlett they have real cheap shoes cuz I remember when I was Aurora and Scarlet Sage my parents used to take me there to get some shoes

You can also get name brand sneakers including Nike’s at Burlington for amazing cheap prices. They are not the brand new styles but still great for the prices. You probably want to go to Burlington next time.

My youngest had trouble getting the concept of shoe tying so his teacher showed him one time and he had it "her way"....from the bunny ears instead of 1 bunny ear you make 2 then just loop it together like the first loop....it unties just like normal and is much 3asir if the child is struggling.
