2:17 is hilarious. That forced smile followed by the immediate embarrassed face. Man, I love Cosmo. Such an incredible actor and he comes across as such a normal bloke
She is wildly charismatic. He is too, but he seems nervous and like he'd MUCH rather be doing something else lol I have only seen the first two episodes but it has my complete attention thus far.
More like he's just a reserved person and didn't rehearse good talking points. Looks like he's gasping for air after he delivers an answer, some people dread talking about themselves.
I think he’s struggling mentally with the fame that’s been thrust upon him. To be honest I think he might need some professional help moving forward in this period of life.
We don’t know how many interviews they’ve done to get to this point. I see 3 other videos by different interviewers interviewing them with the same backdrop. It can get very tiring being asked the same question over and over again.
Interesting, I thought his stiffness in moving was an acting technique but it seems that’s just him. I hope to see much more of him. Very refreshing talent.
@@theultimatewarlord69420 I think it's bold to assume somebody with no talent also has no integrity. Just like lots of talented people have zero integrity.
Every interview I've seen with Jarvis. he comes across as incredibly introverted. For an actor who is used to performing in front of others. Its curious
They're both doing great work in this series. Cosmo (or rather Blackthorne) came across as some kind of Guy Ritchie thug in Elizabethan garb at first, but I then realised that the screenwriters were not necessarily making a totally likeable protagonist, and its nice to see that the real life Cosmo is so much more humble and relatable. Anna is adorably demure in the series, and her very controlled performance gives her a sense of subtle, intellectual power. Top acting chops. Well done, folks.
It’s sad that cosmo is not very known like some useless actors cosmo is a very good actor that can play emotions very good I watched all his movies and one thing about this guy is that he plays his character 100%
5:00 to 5:15 had me laughing hard 😂 I love how they kindly laugh at Cosmo’s awkwardness, you can see such a lovely relationship between him and Anna! They are such amazing actors and I so hope there will be another series!!
“The way I viewed you is the same way I believe Mariko viewed Blackthorne”. Was that a not so subtle come on, like she’s hinting that she wants him to ask her to dinner or something?
Ok, so like everyone else, I'm taken aback at how faltering Cosmo is - I don't say that as a negative at all. I'd much prefer to speak to someone who seriously considers what it is they want to say. But I have to say, Russ Milheim - EXCELLENT questions!!! Really interesting, looking to gain more knowledge of their experience and their process. I'm so impressed with the depth of the questioning, might have to subscribe now!!!
"The way I viewed you was the way Mariko viewed Blackthorne".. The look on Cosmo's face as she says that 🤣 "So.. you always just saw me as a filthy barbarian? 😐
Cosmo is a great and welcome surprise. Anna is ridiculously beautiful and a great actress. She was the most intense character. I think she is the one that gave the show the deepest emotional print of “mystical ancient japan”. But bravo to everyone, really
Great, Great Actors - both of them! I admire them. To put so much emotions and feelings in this film. I've watched the whole story in just over 24 hrs!! Thank you both for your great work! You are on the same level like the greatest American actors like Pacino and A. Joli 👍💫
That was a little surprising. She is so well spoken, but he is nothing like his character, for sure. It was difficult listening to him trying to get his thoughts out, I kept saying "spit it out" in my head, ha ha!
You know they are both great actors, because when watching Shogun you dont think wow thats great acting. You're drawn right into the story and believe that they are the characters, living those lives. Same for the whole show.
Cosmo's brain appears to be malfunctioning in her presence, and who can blame him? She's GORGEOUS. I'm looking forward to finally watching this series!
I get that the book is used up and going their own way rarely ends well when it comes to studios making historical dramas, but it does feel like such a waste not to dig deeper in this universe. I don't know how the book ends, or the show, so I would appreciate no one spoil anything. But I do know that the story is based on the story of William Adams, the real life Anjin, as well Ieatsu Tokugawa, and their story is fairly interesting all the till the end of their lives. So that could be used as reference material if they chose to make more.
