I can't emphasize enough how humble Shohei is. Also, Ippei is outstanding like he always is. Not just for the accuracy of contents, but also for conveying the manners and connotations with which Shohei speaks.

Two weeks after his elbow surgery, Shohei agreed to an interview with NHK. It's a 45 minute documentary that chronicles his first year in the MLB. From what he shares, Shohei reveals himself behind the player. Behind this phenom, is in fact, a young man who is very much alone on this journey. He is emotional, sensitive, introspective, even vulnerable at times. He thinks there are a lot of players who are better than him. He considers his talent is his ability to work harder than anyone else, rather than being gifted with God given skills. He loves baseball, good and bad. And having good character is what he values most in himself. Really good interview.

Nobody mentioned and probably even Shohei don’t know, but actually Dave Roberts was famous in Japan long time ago as kind of “multiple way” athlete, because when he was a MLB player, in off seasons, he often visited Japan and showed up in Japanese TV show and played other sports (I don’t remember exactly but it was not the baseball) with other sports players. Maybe Shohei’s parents may remember.

Oh boy, NHK tv Japan. Your question sounded like what a 5 year old would say and Shohei's answer sounds like what a wise man would say. Plus, your question should have been in English so Ippei can translate for Shohei, not the other way around. The audience didn't know what to do for a moment.

Are you dumb? He just got to his first year of arbitration eligibility, of course he’s not gonna make banks. His baseball salary has literally nothing to do with the language he speaks, not to mention he's the HIGHEST paid MLB player in terms of endorsement deals. Also, you speak English but you're not making/going to make nowhere close to how much he makes.

I knew that MLB was biased against law enforcement and patriotism for the American flag and anthem last year which is why I didnt watch even an inning last year. Now we are learning that they are deeply dishonest. The switch from Georgia to Colorado makes no logical sense based on the reasons MLB gave because the voting laws in each state are so similar. So I think the real reason for the move is that Georgia is a swing state and Manfred is a Democrat and MLB is trying to force Georgia to not require photo ID so Democrats can vote on behalf of the dead or those that have moved out of state. Colorado is a blue state so Democrats dont care that they require photo ID there because they think they can win it. Boycott the anti-American, deeply dishonest MLB!
