imma be honest I don't like his mechanics. Specifically the end of his delivery. He opens way too much and therefore puts too much stress on the elbow. Probably why he's had 2 TJ's
Lift frontmost foot, put it forth and hurl the slingstone, like water also. Gotcha! I'm a slinger by the way. As a slinger, I believe that baseball can help improve accuracy.
At 0:13 and 0:14 he opens his chest too much too fast. His arm doesn't go up high enough. Instead of having stress be applied across the arm with the UCL being a focal point, it's applied almost solely from the shoulder and UCL. The way to fix this is to start his actual pitch delivery sooner, and do the same ending that Maddux did where he was immediately ready to field the ball. Of course, he will lose velocity doing this. But his stuff is so nasty anyway that I'm not sure if it matters if he brings the fastball down from 98 to 95.
