It may sound like a ridiculous statement, but Ohtani really is underrated. He should be recognized among the American public like Lebron or Tom Brady are.

i lost interest in baseball after Bonds... Ohtani is baseball. I wake up every morning and scour youtube for Ohtani content and tune into every game he pithces, check box scores for everygame he hits.

@@rivalfantasy I think we'll end up seeing more people go into these dual roles in the future as that ups their market value if they can play both very well. That, and switch pitching I feel will become a big thing in the years to come.
Yeah that will def. be smart for the players to do in order to increase their potential market value. -- it's also just better for #MLB as it's much more fun to watch.
158 career HR...best player ever...yeah, ok..😂 The term "best ever" has lost all meaning. Attention spans are so short nowadays, someone different is labeled the "GOAT" evey other month in every sport. Everyone under 30 seems to think it's impossible that someone they didn't personally watch was better than someone they watch daily. Disrespect for legends of the game is commonplace. Some of the comparisons i see are laughable.
I respect your take William, good stuff! I also appreciate you watching and sharing your thoughts. I do think Shohei is as special as it gets in baseball/MLB, obviously he needs to put in the years of work, but there's no reason that shouldn't happen. Too bad the Babe wasn't born in this era instead, it would have been sweet to see how it played out then. The wonderful world of "what if".
