DIAN DIMITROV...Oyama karate is NOT only Shotokan! You are 100% wrong. Facts: Kyukukushin karate is a combination of karate styles from Japan, Okinawa and Korea. Oyama trained with Funakowshi in Shotokan, Yamaguchi in Goju Ryu, Korea karate kicks, American boxing Muay Thai and Judo. Oyama was a student of all of these disciplines and he is Korean by birth not Japanese. He moved to Japan as a young man and served in WW2 in the Japanese Army. Oyama met and trained with Japan's and Okinawa's best: Funakowshi, Yamaguchi, Kano and Shioda.
