That's why I got them. I work alone a lot. I love listening to podcast and audio books during the day but don't like my hearing blocked. I love this (so far) 👍
Safety first when cycling, and it is better to wear non-in-ear bone conduction earphones. But wind noise can affect sound quality. Therefore, these headphones are only suitable for listening to BGM while cycling. I think this is also good, I am using the Wissonly Hi Runner, which has good sound quality, waterproof performance, and stable wearing.
I've used them for audiobooks and they work okay. They suck for music. My go-to are Samsung Galaxy Buds plus. They have a pass-through mode that actually amplifies sounds like a hearing aid. Easy to go from sound amplifying to sound isolating. I pretty much haven't worn my Shokz in over a year.
For a shokz swim, you'll won't get the chance of streaming audio because it lacks Bluetooth capability but you have a 4gb of storage with over 1,200 songs. The swim also have a great waterproof rating (IP68) which is great for swimming and for scuba diving. The Open run is great for athletes, cyclist, students, body builders, office workers but not for swimmers (IP67). The run also come with Bluetooth 5.0 which is great for audio, listening to podcasts and also streaming your favorite artist. I hope this helps
Standard size. Yes, they stay in place extremely well. That’s actually one of the best benefits of these compared to any other earphone. The only ones that I found that stay in place almost as good are jaybird vistas. The Jaybird have much better sound but of course they don’t allow for the situational awareness like the Shokz.
Hey Clint, thanks for the reviews! Have you had any issues with the battery of this headphones? I'm getting tired of the bad quality of batteries of bluetooth headphones. Thanks!
I can also attest to the battery life. I sometimes leave them on for days because remembering to turn them off can sometimes be a chore. Never had them die on me and I'll only charge them maybe once a week.
I think it’ll be good…they are very secure. Just remember they’re not great for a really noisy environment so if you run in a city with a lot of traffic noise you may be challenged to hear the audio. But in low to moderate noise environments they’re great.
