I love this comment. I've followed both singers since the 90's as a kid and tend to naturally keep my British and American artists separate in my mind but this comparison is just 😍- This song DOES remind me of Tamia for sure.

@@user-dv3kq3rm4h yesss i found out about shola ama during 2020 during Covid. I was just binge watching a whole lot of R&B from the UK because I’m a big fan of R&B in the UK and then I came across shola and did not realize how long she’s been in the game and I have not known who she is. I’m so surprised she did not blow up in the United States because she has the voice and she has the music that would do so great in the USA during that time, but I am now a huge fan of both, and I love them both.

@@danieltongaww Aww thanks for telling me this, I love that you appreciate our UK old school R&B artists- they don't get enough appreciation, even by us now that time has gone by and it's been like two generations of artists since. Who else do you listen to? I grew up in this era so can give other suggestions of 90's/early 2000's UK R&B artists if you like, but you could already know them!
