Brunson should definitely be there. Besides Jokic and SGA, any of the other guys can be removed. Luka, because of team position and Kyrie's help, Tatum because of Brown and Porzingis, Giannis because of health and team under-performance.
Ky was hurt half the year, and the Mavs had the same record as the knicks IN A MUCH TOUGHER CONFERENCE. Luka averaged a 35 pt triple double. That’s historic. Luka, Jokic, and SGA are the only no-debate 1st team players
@anonymus3703 Saying Brunson's not in Luka's league is making a case most people, including myself, would not even disagree with. That's totally irrelevant since you don't have to be in someone's league to have had a better and more deserving year than them in terms of performance. I would argue he's not in Kawhi's league either, but in no way would I rank Kawhi ahead of him in terms of MVP consideration or all-NBA team.
Brunson is 1st Team, but I'm not surprised he made 2nd Team, Brunson doesn't have the flair that the rest of these guys have globally. Brunson above: Giannis MAYBE,Tatum for SURE!
I agree wholeheartedly with Perk. Should Brunson get ANY credit for almost singlehandedly changing the culture of the franchise? Props to Thibs and upper management and his dedicated supporting cast, but they can't do anything on the court. Brunson came, no excuses, and got to work with the team they gave him. I've got KD top 10 to 15 all time. Even he didn't want any part of that. Brunson deserved 1st team, Luka or Tatum or Giannis would've been 2nd team for "this season" in my book. They're both great and deserving but we must be open to others that come along and are greater especially within a particular season. We have to stop granting greatness to just greats that are really good during particular seasons. Like Jordan, the bar has to continuously be raised among peers on a yearly basis. Brunson came along and snatched one of those 1st NBA's team slots this year, sad he didnt get rewarded for it. I think it would've been a beautiful statement if he got it. Keep them "greats" on their toes. Lol
@@jns5319 at least he been in media for 25 years he paid his dues, perk been in media for 4 years and already got a vote it’s just crazy to me it is what it is tho
@@jns5319 getting a vote isn’t just about playing the game why do you think SAS and Mike wilbon have one but If he got a vote because of his career I guess thats cool , it was a serious question
