I ordered a few (6) of these to try out. I had never seen them and am always interested in new products. I have been using both open pour and injection molds to make my own plastics for years. I must say these suck! I have tried about 4 different plastic temps, 3 different oils including the cooking oil he speaks of in the video and nothing works to get consistent results. I get about 3 out of 10 that are a good mold. If you are considering these and want cheap entry level bait molds buy some of the silicone open pour molds. They are far easier to use and give you better results.
More question’s: once successfully molded, is a fisherman to “wash” the body with soap to remove release gel? What do fish perfer, washed, not washed. I think sandparing them improves fish preference..
I dunno...Seems like it takes a long time to make just one piece. I wonder if there are production molds, you know, a mold that might make a dozen or so at a time?
I would dearly love to see the video use the 4inch 'minnow' mold. Only one side of the mold has a cavity, the other side protrudes into that cavity. "Fully round" baits? Definitely NOT with this mold. Comes out with a huge indent on top 100% worse than a simple open pour. Totally unusable and a waste of time & money. And don't expect a reply if you bring this to their attention. I've been scammed.
